Hi,
Yes, newbee. I managed to install T6 but can't find ANY how to simpy install plugins on the Tracktion website.
Searching here I find all complex droping things in VST directories.... Arggg; is there a simple how-to-isntall?

You dont say whether you're on OSX or Windows, which would be kinda important to know in order to tell you what you'd need to do.
However you can control Tracktion's use of plugins from the Settings tab, via the Plugins page. Click on 'Scanning and Sorting'.

Sorry for that; I'm using W8.1-64bits.
Scanning does not find anything. For what I understand at this moment I need to make an VST folder "somewhere" (what is a smart place?) and then download MasterMix and copy it there...?
Wow, Is there really not an explanatory video about this?

I did found a vid on youtube:
But I already bought it, so definitely don't want to pay twice by installing it this way.
The video is without sound and doesn't go into this details

That helps, I dont use OSX myself.twostick wrote:Sorry for that; I'm using W8.1-64bits.
But when you scan, it should tell prompt you with the plugin folder its trying to scan, am I right?Scanning does not find anything.
Im pretty sure there's a default location already set. Tracktion can use multiple folders, so you can put them whereever you want. For file permission reasons, it might be useful to create a folder of your own outside the 'Program Files' directories of Windows, eg at
C:\VST
and put them there, though.
If MasterMix comes as a .dll, then yes. If it comes as an installer, you need to run the installer, and tell it to install to the folder location you want. That location nees to be in the list, or added to the list. that Tracktion scans. For what I understand at this moment I need to make an VST folder "somewhere" (what is a smart place?) and then download MasterMix and copy it there...?

Not sure, but there's a FAQ page

First of all thank you very much for this quick help.
( and shame on Tracktion for covering this important section SO badly)
Ok, this is what I did And it errors
1) Downloaded the mastermix.zip
2) Created a VST3 folder and unzipped the above ther
3) In trackion - settings - plugings I added this directory and performed a scan.
WOW: scan complete BUT error:
Note that the following files appeared to be plugin files but failed to load correctly: Master Mix.vst3

Are you sure you have matched the plugin type to your version of Tracktion, ie x64 (64 bit) plugin for x64 version of Tracktion, x86 (32 bit plugin) for x86 version of Tracktion?twostick wrote:First of all thank you very much for this quick help.

Also, might be worthwhile trying the VST2 version of the plugin.

I'm running Tracktion 64bits, i've downloaded Master Mix 64bits.
Hidden files are displayed in folder options.
Although the above error Master Mix is insert-able as VST3 plug-in in the right below (output section?) of Tracktion.
Took me a while to figure out why the "Sea-wave sound" was played every 10 seconds. I thought it had to do something with the previous error.
But you have to register this plug in again in Tracktion then this strange sound disappears. Is so obvious.. (yeah right)

If you've downloaded Master Mix form the website directly (not via the built-in Marketplace tab in Tracktion) there should be a file called "Plugin Installation.rtf". This contains all the instructions needed to install and scan the plugin.
