31st of this month...which reminds me i still need to get relectro.
for $20 bucks one can always find loops which can use some gentle mangling and massaging.
i used to always push the envelope...until someone showed me a letter-opener.

Like I said.....sometimes you get a feeling......
Let's hope they're not going into the web design business. I think this is called 'unresponsive design'. :hihi:

1036px wide seems to be its smallest width allowed. Their responsive script is not finished, I'd wager. Must be doing it themselves - no designer would release a site in this state, nor would they develop it while live.

Pretty telling seeing that spelling error that it is not being reviewed by a team.

is the sale still available ??

ps. Octopus is a great tool. I really liked it. Definitely it should receive more love during last years :)

I own Spectral. Is Octopus different enough to warrant owning it as well?

Thanks!

That was enough to push me over the edge! Thanks, mcc.

Same here. It's so much thing for $20, but do I really need it?

Well worth the $20. No brainer. Been playing with the drum synth modules more. I was already stoked about the sample content. Got some great tones out of the synth modules. This is an all around great Drum VSTi. Really the best bang for the buck out of everything on offer in this sale (In my opinion).
Play it by ear

Was on the fence for RMV too then i tried demo. I never tried it before probably because of its former price, not a rich guy - au contraire. End result is: just purchased it.
My opinion: it shines as a drum sampler. Easy to change pad note, add samples, change etc. Midi library is another plus, easy to preview and very easy to change whole drum kit. Drum synth is also there in case its needed. Kits, not perfect but there are pretty good ones. It is very versatile, you can use it for hip-hop, breaks, electronica, there are acoustic kits so for rock and beyond, and because its a drum sampler you can make it good even for orchestral/cinematic compositions (not that I found in included samples in that genre but you can load your own samples). I like that versatility.
Render whole pad (all layers) as 1 wav file by dragging or anyhow isn't there or I couldn't find a way to do that. Also, no round robin or at least I couldn't find it.
As a loop slicer - I didn't like it that much. Only way I found to add/remove slices its by dragging sensitivity slider, its semi-automatic but I wish I have more control. If there is way to manually add slices please let me know. Maybe I need to get used to that part of RMV.
Loops included and midi are not all great, some are good some are not. Drum kits are nice and versatile, there is even kit mouth percussion (which I liked).

So is it worth? My opinion HELL YEAH :) Maybe old plugin but still very powerful in 2015. Its more powerful than a lot vsti released after it. You get a lot for the buck. My advice to try demo first. Also, gui at first look seems confusing and like its very complicated but actually it isn't.
If Linplug is reading this, as you can see by this thread RMV is still "winning horse" so why discontinue it. It need just new (bigger) gui, simplifying etc. Some tweaks in loop modules part of vsti. Video manuals. All in all not much to be there in line with others (similar plugins).
My 0.02$

Bought RMV and absolutely love it! At this price point it's a bargain. Had some issues in Orion Platinum (big CPU spikes from time to time, looks like GUI related - I think it's Orion fault though since it works absolutely flawlessly in REAPER on the same machine).

I like how easy it is to assign samples to pads or create velocity layers, also the included librarian features are great (I've been always a bit chaotic about organizing my sample collection so this certainly makes my life much easier).

Very happy about the purchase, thanks LinPlug! :)
