According to the manual:
single ................similar to sync, but restarts at the next note after all notes are released
If the DAW is playing the LFO phase is not synced at the next note played but to the DAW note grid.
Is this the intended behaviour? If so, why?

Sorry, yes, I noticed it with presets that use single LFO plus the arp.
So the lfo syncs to the played note on, whereas the arp syncs to the DAW note grid?
That explains it.

Yeah, the Arp somehow always syncs to the DAW grid if the DAW is in playback mode.
That wasn't the greatest decision we ever made, which is why in Hive one can switch it of. We might need to add this to Diva too, and maybe do an overall assessment as to where to go with this.
