TBH I really enjoy Zero-G's sales...on the newer stuff. Yeah I guess I see you guys' point. There really are quite a few gems among the older stuff that I wouldn't have wanted to miss out on if I just started producing today. (The "Planet of the Breaks" lines comes immediately to mind). But yeah, overall it has become something of a joke by this point. It's time to just permanent reduce the prices on that old stock.

+1 on the newer stuff. Amazing stuff: Epica, Spiritoso, Luminoso :tu:

I'm not in the market for sounds much these days, but I have got all the ZG freebies for the last few years, bought a couple classic titles cheap, and went all out when they had last free one with adding the $5 and three for $20 titles... so, for maybe $50 altogether, I've got a bunch of their stuff counting the freebies.

They got me this time, I've just bought Modular Beats. Also Ian Boddy - Odyssey which is great value. I'm mainly interested in the Drum Hits and the radio stuff as Octatrack Fodder, but I like his sound design style generally.

I'm sure you've probably mentioned it already but the code is X55 for 55% off.

Yes, the price is reduced - how huge the bargain is depends how much you need this plugin.
The sale price incl.VAT is about $ 103.
Elysia makes good plugins but normal prices are really high. All is relative but for me > 100 is today a lot of money.

They are not Boz who can ask a price of $299 for a simple delay?! :clown:
Seriously, it must be something really special that i put out over $100 for a plugin nowdays. We spoiled with excellent stuff for way less money. So the big guys once played in their own league have constant sales (Waves etc.) make them not looking like complete id*ots pricewise. :hihi:
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

An Ok price, but I'm a bit annoyed with Electro Cinematic, 200 Textures patches, and then they are named Texture001, Texture002 .... Texture200 :help:

That just isn't good enough if it aims at being some kind of sound palette, at a minimum the name should reflect somehow the sound the patch makes

There is a patch in there that sounds like a rainstick, then call it rainstick, and not Texture088

That´s the one big problem with Zero-G libraries, in my opinion... I have a ton of their cinematic libraries simply because there are many many excellent sounds in there.

But while I understand that giving hundreds of different, evocative names to what basically amounts to being a "low drone with a bandpass sweep and some field recording rustling on top" is difficult (and names like "dancing elves in the morning light" don´t help me a lot either, anyway)...

... Zero-G goes like:

"Comb-Event 01-22" (Aftershock)
"Dark Atmosphere 1-19" (Critical Mass)
"Arcc", "Cith", "Enuu", "Quii" (Warp Static)

:dog:

Anyway, many of their cinematic sounds are worth the original price and more, one´s just got to be prepared for some renaming work.

That made me laugh outloud.

Those titles are IDM for sure :hihi:

Too bad that lib isn't included in the sale now, I would be wanting that at $31,5 too 8)

Well, now that I think about it, these names may just be rather evocative... many an Autechre song sounds just like that

(btw, YMMV but I personally find the Warp Static library rather lame, sounds like a quick weekend job by Mr. Arovane - a few pad snippets [no fine multisamples], a few "explorations" where he twists and turns the ringmod and/or cutoff knobs on his nord lead and/or virus - really uninspired and uninspiring noodling which noone would care about if it had been noodled by someone without name-and-fame... and only a few trademark arps and clickety rhythms [which, however, make the user sound like he sampled from an Arovane song]... ).

I find that helpful. It should sound very differently from "alien sight from the paraecliptic galaxies".
And in case you like it this will be easier to differenciate and remember than texture23 and texture 52.
