Hello all, I'm a new user of Mulab, just read the full manual et watched all the videos, still training with the free version but not very accustomed to mapping.

I have several questions that I'll try to explain :

I've got a vst called KORG M1 and its patches feature a lot of drum kits, well let's take for instance the standard drum patch (within it each key has his own drum sound) and put it onto a midi instrument track. Is there a way to display only the few notes I need on the piano roll from the sequencer and is there a way to map each of those used note's sounds to a specific audio rack in order to process each drum sound individually on the rack mixing desk ?

Otherwise I've got an old Yamaha rx11 drum machine from the 80's and would like to sample their pcm. Does Mulab feature a function that allow the recorded, processed, sliced (and so on) drum sound from an audio track to become immediately a sample in order to use it immediately in the musampla during the project or do I need to do an audio export ?
Afterwards, my main issue will be to map the samples from the mudrum. What is the best way to map each pad sound to an individual rack on the mixing rack desk from the project (I'm not talking about the 4 racks from mudrum) ? I was unable to understand where to map the output 2,3 and 4 from the mudrum and where to use mux in this case (into the mudrum or in the main rack mixing desk from the project).

At last, off topic, I'm afraid I don't find the tempo sync option for using muecho, lfos etc

Thank you very very much.

Thank you very much

Yes by zooming in vertically.
About scrolling zooming the editors pls see:

When you're sending note events to the VSTi you're implicitly using a MIDI track. Yes you can have multiple sub-tracks all sending to that same VSTi so you can have a track for the kick, one for the snare etc. Now about splitting up the audio that comes out of the VSTi, that's only possible if the VSTi has multiple outputs. How to use multiple outputs, see this doc page:
http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/us ... ugins.html
And also this video:

Yes using the "Create New Sample From Selection" function in the audio editor.

Well it depends a bit on how many drum sounds you want to control in separate racks. If it's max 4 then you can indeed use a MuDrum as it has 4 stereo outputs to which each of the 12 sounds can be routed. Put that MuDrum in the project modular area and create 4 racks that you connect to the mudrum's 4 outs. Now the racks will be visible in the rack desk.

If it's much more than 4 drum sounds then you could use multiple MuDrums as explained above, or maybe it's better to build your own mudrum! This can be done using a MUX in which you combine multiple (multi-sample) players and create as many individual outputs as you want. Then also put this MUX in the project's modular area and connect as many racks as you need.
At last, off topic, I'm afraid I don't find the tempo sync option for using muecho, lfos etc
I'm not sure if i understand this question well. Do you mean the tempo sync on MUX's LFO module? It' on the LFO editor. If you mean something else pls elaborate. Thx.

Thank you very much I managed to route the audio mudrum via the modular area, the event input is the track in which I wrote the sequence i.e I first associated a rack to the sequence from the project and then used this rack as event input for mudrum in the modular area (followed by audio individual mapping in individual racks on the mixing desk). It is the best way if I use 4 drum sounds isn't it ? Is there also a way to create individual mudrum automation in automation tracks though in this case I use an unique but routed mudrum in the modular area ?

My last question in the previous post concerned how to toggle between milliseconds and clocks mudulations in muecho who seems to not provide the tempo sync button (concerning lfo, sorry I discovered at last the tempo sync button).

Sounds ok, but note that you could also target the mudrum directly from the track, if you wouldn't use that 'portal rack'.

Yes you can automate any plugin module parameter by drag-dropping its knob name onto the [+] track button.

Ah now i see, misunderstood before. Answer is no, MuEcho is sync only atm. But note that there are many other echo patches in the MUX preset library, all of which can also be edited. So if you're interested you can even build your own echo MUX patches.

I have found another way to map singles vst sounds from Korg M1 Legacy vst's drumkits in Mudrum : I use the 4 pads, each routed to external racks on the main mixing desk, while inserting the vst in each sample section from the 4 individual pads i.e one individual vst drum kit instance for each pad : but I'm unable to map pad's midi notes. In the contextual menu there is a midi key editor and after I change this and clicking it's done, I notice that it remains on C4 though I've entered C3. Then for instance, the sound remains a snare located on this drumkit's C4 though I want to trigger C3 which is the kick.

Edit : Actually it seems impossible to assign a pad to a spécific note key as if it was not featured, isn't it ?

Actually I'm trying to do this in order to have a group on the piano roll linked to each pad, sequencing easily, avoiding to scroll uper and lower.
