Asking for 'better' or 'improved' is too vague... I think it's more useful to ask for specific improvementsHarry_HH wrote:These! Plus:sacer wrote:i would integrate complete Tremor with a much bether synth engine.
Better Browser.
Better Pattern import / export from DAW.
More FX to deforme / filter / glitch and stutter arangements
-improved importing and exporting MIDI files
-best elements of Spark2 sound manipulating

Yes, its useful if you can give detailed specs of the needed features.pdxindy wrote:Asking for 'better' or 'improved' is too vague... I think it's more useful to ask for specific improvementsHarry_HH wrote:These! Plus:sacer wrote:i would integrate complete Tremor with a much bether synth engine.

But if the Fxpansion knows the main focus areas, t even this gives guidelines.

Long time Geist user here(love it) Not mad at the new Gui(place holder)either,it is a lot to squeeze into one program.... The new features are great, having more than 16 pads/sounds per engine,trans-mod,different pattern lengths in the same engine are all super cool and welcomed... Having said that I hope they fix the few things that have been bothering me for years 1.Arrow keys do not work for browsing samples in logic pro, they work in every other program except for logic, why? 2.When logic is in loop mode Geist will miss the down beat at the top of loop, this is only from time to time so it's not that bad but it's there.... Things I'd like to see is different timings in the same engine, being able to go from 16th note to 32nd note to 16th triplet or 8th note triplet is major for guys like me that producer Hiphop\Rap... All in all it's and instant upgrade for me its the one plugin that I use in every track...

1. Logic issue. It hogs the keyboard, and we can't do anything about it. Loads of plugins experience similar behaviour unfortunately.Smack Dammit wrote:Long time Geist user here(love it) Not mad at the new Gui(place holder)either,it is a lot to squeeze into one program.... 2. This sounds like a bug, you should report it via the FX ticket system so it can be tracked.
Unless I am misunderstanding, individual patterns can already have different step lengths. Changing that will give you what you want. If you want it within the same pattern, that is a little more tricky and I'm not sure it can be done right now.Things I'd like to see is different timings in the same engine, being able to go from 16th note to 32nd note to 16th triplet or 8th note triplet is major for guys like me that producer Hiphop\Rap... Kind of hard to agree with it being a logic issue, when battery 3 & 4 does this with out any problems, all u-he,native instruments and spectrasonics plugs do this as well, come to think of it plenty of plugs are able to use the arrow keys to browse sample\presets in Logic...
Yes I was talking about different step lengths in the same pattern...

No answer? I doubt I'd be the only one into this kind of thing for Geist, it would be terrific imo. The only thing missing from the otherwise fabulous Cinematic sets.Apostate wrote:Will there ever be Taiko Pads, Grooves, Presets, Kits, for Geist? Even an expansion? I for one would be all over it.

Hmmmm... could be a possibility in the future. I deal primarily with our BFD expansions (currently working on some stuff there!) but doing another Geist pack could be cool. Will give it some thought.Apostate wrote:No answer? I doubt I'd be the only one into this kind of thing for Geist, it would be terrific imo. I know people who would jump all over a Geist Taiko Expansion, in fact I'd actually put money aside for it. It's too bad the Japanese Taiko Groove midi collection is for BFD only, I'd have paid for that in a second.Amberience wrote:Hmmmm... could be a possibility in the future. In case it helps: I´d even pre-order a decent Taiko set for Geist

The ability to write Taiko patterns specifically for Geist, plus export and import, makes the idea a total first day buy for me.
I've recently both acquired and fallen very much in love with Geist, not just for the above features but the overall sound. Taiko for me is the only thing missing (though as mentioned it would be more than cool to have transmod...Geist is great even without that imo). I mean, there are so many already terrific expansion packs ), Taiko would be the perfect cherry on top imo. Cinematic Drums, as excellent as it is, seems bereft without them.
I'll be looking out for both Geist 2 and the abovementioned, especially now that we've garnered sympathizers both within and without.
Ha ha suck it!
