Songs on my system are generally very heavy and by the end my CPU is pretty taxed, mainly due to the amount of VI's I run. So I'm looking to eek out as much CPU as I can. I'm wondering, when I use MEQ, and turn on the analyzer, I'm assuming this uses more CPU as it now has to display in real time the frequency response. This is fine, but when I'm done EQing, I always forget to turn the analyzer back off. So I'm wondering, when the plugin is closed visually, does it still use CPU on the analyzer even though I cannot see it? Or is there some smart coding in there that makes it so the analyzer is only running when the plugin is open?

I'm sure its minor CPU usage for the analyzer either way, but if I forget to turn it off on 50 tracks, I would imagine that would eventually add up - assuming it does still run CPU cycles even when the plugin is no longer open.

Click the "Settings" button abpve the analyzer graph. Make sure the option "Enable when hidden" is un-checked.
