It wouldn't bee in the Hexagon but I would love to have a mute next to the solo button.

The mute could also serve as a bypass for filters.

a 'structures' page, to define how the 2+2 Osc's are connected:
- default (as of now)
- 4-OP FM algorithms
- 2 transient generators and 2 oscillators for simple D-50 sounds, where the beginning of any sfz can be used as transients
for the efx page a ring mod and a bit shuffler (on/off/inv) would be great
for the filter one of them crazy sideband filters would be fantastic (cough cosm cough) !

I have a Hive question. I've been playing around with the demo, and making a track. I was playing along to the track using the mouse and Hive's keyboard. I was wondering if Hive's keyboard can send midi information to my DAW so that I could record the playing that I do on Hive's keyboard. Is this possible?
I'm loving Hive so far.

Not sure if the right place for this but, I just downloaded demo of Hive today and it has absolutely blown me away ! Definitely has a character of it's own, fantastic sound on the filters. The boingo patch just inspired me to try to recreate the patch in zebra as I wanted to use it in a track (I can't afford to buy Hive until after Xmas) and ended up somewhere similar but different and very happy and inspired.
Diva has been my favorite U-he out of all the ones I own (and I own almost everything) but I have a feeling that Hive is going to usurp it, the ease of work flow is very refreshing. Top work as always, can't wait to get my hands on this... bloody marvellous.

I've checked it, and it doesn't seem to output midi...Quinn1978 wrote:I have a Hive question. I've been playing around with the demo, and making a track. No, it is not possible at the moment, and there are currently no fixed plans of implementing it.Quinn1978 wrote:I was wondering if Hive's keyboard can send midi information to my DAW

yea, would be interesting to know about the current state. Like if the new hexagon feature is found or already in development.

At the moment we're pretty immersed in research (see Protoverb etc.). That's not really anything specific, it's merely some ideas that piled up over the years. We had a pretty draining time when we did the maintenance update. I think we've deserved some time out to toy around a bit - it's where the good stuff happens
We'll get back to Hive soon enough though. If we're still a bit undecided about the Hexagon, it's probably also because we're surprised at how "complete" Hive already is. The Modmatrix makes it less limited than we expected, if not utterly versatile.
We'll see. My head is somewhere else currently (vector math, diode equations, technical papers), but everything will unfold at some point.
