Looking for some info... looking for a full blown module for doing drums was wondering what is the best bang for the buck...

Kind of leaning towards BFD....I like Scarbee to though...

any input on ease of use or any other suggestions?
Before I hit the buy button?

Have you checked out DFH Superior?

I have BFD and it is fantastic, but I would have given Scarbee a good look at.

I like BFD, cuz it has a standardish drum mapping going on. I believe Scarbee has it own thing.

I have two other Scarbee libs and they are two of my favorites.

Support by either is top notch

You probably already know, but just to make sure we’re talking about the same thing: DFH is a sample CD, DFH Superior is a VSTi with a 35 GB sample set. Two completely different products. To further complicate things, there's also DFH 2, which is a Kompakt-engine VSTi with a small subset of the DFH Superior library.

I was in the same dilema last week and I ended up buying Scarbee. Why? I liked Scarbee demos far better and I don't like the BFD sound (I don't like the way the drummer plays). Scarbee also has top-notch sample programming. It makes best of Kontakt and Halion... I did not like DFH because of the drummer also, I find he is sounding too heavy metal.

I received SID this morning and I'll start playing with it tonight :D

Bear in mind, BFD includes a dedicated engine, whereas Scarbee does not (you need HALion, Kontakt, or something that will read either of those formats - it's purely a sound set).

I'm a big Scarbee fan, but just LOVE BFD. I am not overly impressed with the BFD Demos, sorry...

I really wasn't all that sure when I bought it, but it is one of my most used VSTs.

I use micro-tonic for electric sounds, BFD for acoustic, and culture for percussion. Dream set-up :D

BFD's demoes dont do it justice. Listen to someone USE it, then it reallly rocks. and the engine is totally amazing.

the reason i didnt like SID ( i downloaded the manual ) is because of the tricky output scheme.. and i would have to get some version of kontakt or halion.

Yah...that is what I was wondering about bfd.....if it was better than its demos....cause they suck....

I would love to hear some stuff from peeps that have worked with bfd....cause I really like the gui that it has...it seems to be pretty cool and easy to use....

Thx rik for the info....
