Kind of leaning towards BFD....I like Scarbee to though...
any input on ease of use or any other suggestions?
Before I hit the buy button?
You probably already know, but just to make sure we’re talking about the same thing: DFH is a sample CD, DFH Superior is a VSTi with a 35 GB sample set. Two completely different products. To further complicate things, there's also DFH 2, which is a Kompakt-engine VSTi with a small subset of the DFH Superior library.Ranthar wrote:Yah, I was checkin out DFH also...it seems pretty nice....
I was in the same dilema last week and I ended up buying Scarbee. Why? I liked Scarbee demos far better and I don't like the BFD sound (I don't like the way the drummer plays). Scarbee also has top-notch sample programming. It makes best of Kontakt and Halion... I did not like DFH because of the drummer also, I find he is sounding too heavy metal.Ranthar wrote:Looking for some info... looking for a full blown module for doing drums was wondering what is the best bang for the buck...

I received Scarbee SID today and I played with them tonight. I'm very impressed. I was looking for much expression with snares and hihats and wow... I just layed my firsts kick/snare tracks and it really started to give some life to the song. I'm so happyRanthar wrote:Cool....could ya do me a favor?...I'm finding myself leaning heavy in the Scarbee direction....can ya play around a little with it and hollar back at this thread...
Bear in mind, BFD includes a dedicated engine, whereas Scarbee does not (you need HALion, Kontakt, or something that will read either of those formats - it's purely a sound set).Looking for some info... looking for a full blown module for doing drums was wondering what is the best bang for the buck...
