Strange. ALL of the Arturia keyboards in the shop had super loose controls. Tons of play.. I tried every single one they had after the first one (61 key) had really loose knobs and sliders.. only to discover they all behaved similarly. I wonder if they loosen over (a small amount of) time?

VitaminD, mine fell completely apart after a month of use. like 15 keys broken, and the weights just fall off. Keylab49 is the worst quality I have ever seen in a keyboard ;)

Anyone know if Native Instruments Komplete Elements, Komplete Select, and Massive licenses bundled with Maschine are transferrable?
I have the Komplete 10 Ultimate already and don't need these. If they are transferrable I'd like to sell them for a nominal amount.

AFAIK you can't as they are linked to your hardware. I do remember some tried to sell them on KVR though. You might want to search through the Marketplace posts.

Teksonik wrote:I demo'd the Arturia in a music store before buying it and fell in love with the feel of the keyboard and action. It didn't seem too flimsy at the time of the demo but I got one new in the box home and the pitch wheel spring broke on the first use. It wasn't until I got my Akai and compared the two that the poor build quality of the Arturia became painfully obvious. I'd never buy another Arturia and you'd have to kill me to get my Akai away from me.......... :P
I didn't know the Arturia's were like that  I was also looking at the Akai you mentioned and the Novation 49SL MkII. I'll probably get the Novation as I've heard good things about their keyboards. :)

Do vendors thinking that adding exclamation will make it more convincing for buyers? Like

50% off! Hurry offer ends, October 30!!!

It makes me think there is something fishy about the deal

new to this sub-forum - if I want to sell a VST, what is the typical sell price that I would offer ?

Is it 50% of what I paid or . . . ?

thanks

Depends on the VST,some hold there value more than others

Post

Depends on the product and the demand.. I wouldn't start at 50% off. First do a search and see if you can find how much others have sold the same product recently. Then, see if you can find sale pricing.. after that I'd price 20-40% less (again depending on the product and my desire to unload quickly). That price MIGHT be half off.. but I think often it is not.

And you can always update your pricing as the sale progresses if it hasn't sold.. people generally like to see the price decrease than increase.. so start high and go lower until you get a bite. :)

suggest you search on the bargain forum to see if any licenses for your specific VST have been posted recently. Doesn't necessarily tell you what they actually sold for of course, but may give you an idea what to advertise it for.

You can also get more for a popular product that is never discounted than for an ageing one you find at -70% every other week. Also plugins going NFR after resale tend to lose more value.

Depends on supply and demand, if you got u-he product to sell for example, you shouldn't sell at less than 30% off the regular MRSP

Price also depends on if there is a license transfer fee that usually has to come out of the sellers part, and if the license becomes NFR when sold which is not good news to the buyer.

As Ozone7 is already in the making, gotta take into account that users wanting to get that need to put down $99 to upgrade from O5 to O7
