EASILY ADJUST LOOP MARKERS OUTSIDE SCREEN BOUNDS - When a loop is bigger than the visible area, loop markers cannot be shortened without zooming out. They solved this in ableton: The loops can always be adjusted on the edges of the view.

VISIBLE PLAY MARKER IN SAMPLER - I'd like to see what portion of the sample is played

just should use the time selection(2) tool then the Loop Selected Region tool (default is Ctrl+L)
Awesome, I've ctrl-f searched through the manual to find it but nothing turned up, glad it's already there!
I'll give the loop selection tool a shot, many thanks.

I hope I can post the two feature requests I have here otherwise let me know:

1- semitone grid for pitch automation. It would be great if pitch automation points van be snapped to semitones as shown here

2- also really handy would be a pitch follow eq that also works for third party plug's

IF I POST ALL IN CAPS WILL IT GET MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE FEATURE REQUEST IMPLEMETED EARLIER? THANX

and clip linking, that's all

I agree with this. That would increase workflow tremendously if the piano roll added those features.

I would like to see:

1) Choke groups in the Drum Machine/Sampler
- Without choke groups, I can't really use either of these unless it's for a single sound.

2) Automation lanes display what I'm actually automating
- I'm refering to how Pro Tools treats the actual line you're editing for automation. So if I'm automating the feedback on a delay, either stock or third party, the automation line in Pro Tools will give me a display of the actual feedback level that I'm drawing in instead of having a generic 0-100% value. The percentage value has me guessing where I'm placing the line which slows down workflow

3) Audio from Multi Out vst to be routed back to its own instrument track
- This would make volume and device adjustments so much easier if the audio was able to do this as it does in many other DAWS. Having to flip to the mixer to make small adjustments becomes cumbersome while creating.

4) Improved timestretching
- The least important of the requests I've submitted is a better timestrech engine that can compete with Ableton's. I still go back to Ableton when I want to stretch or change the key of a record or acapella for remix purposes because the Ableton engine handles this a lot better than Bitwig does currently. I'd rather have other features added or improved before time would be focused on this though.

Agree to all of these. Some additional comments on your thoughts

2) As well as this, it would be very nice to see some visual feedback as to where the top of the automation actually is!! For example:
before.jpg
after.jpg
4) yes i had to timestretch a vocal yesterday from 140 to 128 and it was absolutely horrible result, unusable - filled with strange pops and tones. I used Izotope RX in the end and the result was flawless. I'd like to see stretch 'modes' ie like "vocal" "beat" "full mix" "solo instrument" that would be good imo and more human-friendly than grainsize etc (but happy to have more advance creative options tucked away too).

cheers!

Dom responded to my feature request about Automation Lanes Displaying What You're Automating. He said it's not possible to do this with VSTs. I'm assuming Pro Tools can do it since they were using RTAS and now AAX. Maybe VST3 can do this and maybe Bitwig will adopt VST3 in the future? Guess we'll wait and see.

the values can be copied to the automation value input field, but it converts the 0-1 range to percent value directly without the multiplying, so without explicitly setting percents (with the %) it should be converted IMO for ex. from 0.5 > 50%

Didn't know you could do this. Thanks xbitz. Still a slight workflow killer but will work for the time being I suppose.

By the way, what's the best way to make those gifs like xbitz did? I'm on a Mac. I would definitely put some gifs up if I knew what I was doing.

Does anyone know if there is a way to bypass the sends? When judging reverbs and delays it's essential to bypass the sends to judge what you're doing. I can't seem to figure it out. If you can't that's another feature that is desperately needed, especially for mixing purposes.

When you keep pressing mute (or solo) buton and than scrolling right or left (in mix view) it should also mute other channels buttons. So you dont have to click every button separetly. Like in logic or reaper for exapmple.

New Bitwig Studio user here! I have a few requests:

1. Movie Track so that we can score to picture. This one is HUGE.
2. Special Automation tool that has preset 'shapes' (triangle, saw, square) so that we can just drag the tool across to draw shapes. Cubase and Studio One have this feature.

That is all. Other than that, Bitwig is just beautiful and inspiring, thank you. :D

Well ill be damned... i was just thinking about this one.... :tu:

Two more!

3. Keyboard shortcuts options for specific note values: 1/4, 1/16, etc... instead of just having the currently available 'Next Grid Subdivision' and 'Previous Grid Subdivision'. This is how it works in Logic too which I always found highly annoying and I've always wished for the ability to quantize to note values directly instead of having to change the grid and then quantize.

4. Import MIDI Groove Templates. I have a few very lovely MPC Midi groove templates that I would love to be able to import and use within Bitwig.

Bonus: Audio comping capabilities like how it is in Logic X. Not super important but this would just take Bitwig over the top. :)
