So Im trying to do improv with Push, and whenever I hit new clip, it always cuts off the first notes I play during the first bar, and then sometimes it cuts off the audio when Im playing notes, but when you playback it sounds just fine.
Has anyone else had this? It really kills the vibe.
Im on 1.2 and the latest official release of Push4Bitwig

Hello Tristan,
I have had the same problem, however I think this is an issue with Bitwigs quantization. Try turning it off - it should work fine (though it may not record the first note if it is hit before the new clip starts). This is of course less than ideal, because you would want to have quantization - however I have found it to be unusable in a live context. I think it originates in Bitwig applying the quantization instantly while recording, causing notes that are hit even slightly before the exakt rhythmical division to be cancelled out by their quantized recording.
But this is just me guessing, maybe someone with deeper insight would know more about this?

I was working with the Push yesterday and had the same quantize error. HUW, I would say your idea is the correct one and that Bitwi'g logic is messing up the first notes.Head Under Water wrote:Hello Tristan,

I spent a while messing with different combinations and settings and it just wouldn't work. Crazy annoying!

Did you send in a bug report to tech? You should, I haven't had the time to.TristanMendoza wrote:I spent a while messing with different combinations and settings and it just wouldn't work. Crazy annoying!

I had something similar and found it works better with quantize note length turned off.
