Hi,
I measured a slope of 5 dB/octave for the pink noise generator of Bazille.

While "real" pink noise having a slope of 3 dB.

What's the reason for this?

Cool, I didn't know that! Here's the Pink Noise definition:

Brown noise can easily be generated:
Sample(n+1) = Sample(n) + Random

While pink noise needs more effort.

...but who really cares, as long as the noise sources sound good and are all useful?

Especially since Bazille can make an endless range of noises...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.

Just curious why Bazille is outputting brown noise instead of pink. ;)

Could be a filter intentionally or unintentionally passed over the spectrum.
I don't know if it is possible to bypass the filter completely in this synth, but I haven't played with it recently.

One of my bosses is color blind. Maybe that is the problem. ;)

Hmm, I am pretty sure it's a classic pink noise algorithm.

What tool do you use to measure? Some come pre-sloped by default which always throws me...

Hi Urs,
I used Voxengo Span, which has by default a 4.5 db per octave slope (can be adjusted in Mode-Edit).

Compare with Reaper's pink noise JS plugin which is perfect as you see.

So that's why I have to use the toilet every time I use Bazille ... :-o
