Saw the O7 Advanced serial in my account. Very cool. Looking forward to trying it out.

Feel like I'm making out like a bandit since I got the Production upgrade from JRR. Nice.

I feel pretty satisfied too. I went from Ozone 5 (and 6) to advanced, trash 2, Insight, and Necter bundle for the the upgrade price. Trash 2 is pretty cool, having not owned it before. I haven't even had time to try Necter yet. Insight is cool and more flexible than the built in metering in Cubase. Lots of new stuff for a low upgrade price, not to mention the separate plugings in advanced. I'd have never considered paying the regular price of advanced. Getting it and all these other things was definitely worth the low upgrade price. Given my plugin collection, most, if not all of these things were not indispensible, but having options is nice. I always master with Ozone anyway, so it just got better.

Purchase Ozone 6, Advanced, Music Production Bundle, or one of the Upgrades for a discounted price and save twice: You will get your FREE Upgrade to version 7 if available in early November (all registrations from August 27, 2015)!

I made use of this offer from bestservice.de a few days ago.

Any idea who will provide me the Ozone 7 serial?
iZotope or bestservice?

Hi, you should see the serial now if you log into your account. If not, please contact support@izotope.com (mailto:support@izotope.com).

Have advanced 7 download and like a lot (although I still wish they had kept the mastering reverb, you can plug your own in standalone)

a lot of people complained about the updates/cost/feature stuff before, I just wanted to say that on the x grade I feel like I have good value, enjoying trash and ozone 7 immensely (still cant see why I would use Alloy with all the individual processing parts to ozone 7 but there you go....)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Now I got the coupon. 250 bucks to upgrade from standard v5 to advanced v7. That sounds much better. Still it's not yet time for me to upgrade Ozone. It'll be 8 or 9, when I do this. I'm still very happy with v5, I don't see enough benefits for me to spend 250 bucks.

+1

Exactly how I feel. I stopped using O5 and migrated to Steven Slate and the new tools in Cubase 7/8. But I must say the Advanced Ozone tools are really something. And I never would have bought them without the bundle deal.

Demoed it directly against O5 adv. I just couldn't hear any improvement over O5. Without a doubt, it trumps O6 but the vintage things seem like a tacky add on and pale in comparison to the product being released by Slate. I went in detail over the dynamics section using the preset: CD MASTER on both O5 and O7 listening to the lows, mids and highs in solo, apart from the fact that the gain and release settings are different in O7, I could not perceive any difference at all once I equalised everything.

I liked the Codec preview function however simply hearing it provided me with no further info than I had already and compaired to the Sonnox Pro Codec (Yes, yes I know!!) I cant see any benefit to it. What I mean is that Yes I can audition the codec rates and yes the lower you go with the rate then the worse it sounds. Who knew!

I checked my account and to upgrade to O7 adv from my O5 adv is $150, uh no thanks.

I believe the major reason Alloy was invented was to provide track processing with a much lighter CPU hit AFAIK.

I run Alloy 2 on multiple tracks without a problem. And the processing is, obviously, all conveniently integrated with a great workflow. I haven't fully tested the O7 advanced modules yet, but I do sense a bigger CPU hit with the limited stuff I've done so far. The modules ARE pretty great though, I must say.

The Alloy presets are also written with specific instrument track processing in mind and get me where I want to be much faster.

But, to each his own. If you like OAdvanced only, go with that.

Cheers

I contacted support because I am only given three paid coupon options to upgrade instead of a free serial.

Try checking purchase history. If O7 is there, then you'll see the buttons to authorize tou your iLok account.

Thanks, but it doesn't show. Only Ozone 5 and Ozone 6.

I'll be patiently waiting for this to work out fine eventually.

Does anyone know if this version is optimized for retina screens?

Post

What are the authorization options? Is it possible to authorize offline with challenge/responce like in Alloy, or ilok is the only option?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Post

Both options are available. C/R and iLok.
