I tried to install the free and synth plugins into Reaper under Windows 10, 64 bit. It crashes big time. The task manager would not close Reaper, I had to do a reboot.

The only thing I changed was the install directory. I also only installed VST2. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

did it work with other plugins before installing Melda stuff? Looks more like a problem with your ASIO driver.

If the whole computer crashes, not the plugins nor Reaper is to blame. If a host crashes, the process must be removed, done. If the host crashes and OS goes with it, then ASIO driver is to blame. These 2 may be together and stuff, but in that case I'd need way more info about what causes it, start with what you do in the plugins/host.

I have a ton of plugins, the only problem is this one.

Which one btw? You didn't even say which plugin. And when it crashes exactly? You really need to be specific.

Good news - Your latest version 9.1.3 works perfect! It was 9.1.2 causing problems. I'm going to purchase the synth for now.

I don't know if you fixed a bug or it was just a weird thing happening, but thank you!

Had this issue with mrhytmizer again but was fixed after a fresh reinstall.
Only get an issue with a daw[surprised he had an issue with reaper] after a windows update.

Leaving/disabling those and updating only via the Iso[even iso with update patches] never have issues but using windows default updater cause hanging in a daw...
The only thing I can think of is problematic windows updates or security patches mucking around with the plugin's folder permission settings.

But since the Iso's with a fresh install work fine even with updated Isos out of the box, and did the crashing again after using windows default updater. So I'd have to take a stab in the dark and say it's windows stock updater that f**ks with this particular plugin in windows 10.

Had an issue with all the Melda plugins (V9.12) - crashed my DAW in random situations (Audio Render, shutdown) - was fixed for me when installing 9.13.

Just my two cents :)
