My X-Station knobs didn't change the parameter until the knob was moved through the loaded preset value. Other synths and plugins can behave similarly.

How do you make softsynths behave similarly?

I know in Ableton Live you can choose the takeover mode, from None (which causes the aforementioned jumps), Pick-Up (which is what mikebenson is referring to) and then Value Scaling... Which to be honest, I don't remember using but it says it calculates a smooth convergence between the different positions until the positioning is the same (and at that point, it turns correctly, corresponding to exact positioning). This is probably the best option for endless encoders.

Your DAW needs to support it, but in reaper you can setup a knob to use Absolute Mode with the Soft Takeover option enabled.

AFAIK the samples in UVI instruments are locked in their *.ufs file format. Falcon has no audio input atm so you will have to re-sample a patch and then use that.

I am tempted by some other UVI instrument libraries but I am holding off for now. I just bought Relayer this time.

Unfortunately, that workaround only works for products that are marked as digital downloads (used it succesfully in the past). This one apparently isn't...

Would some kind American/Samaritan buy it for me maybe?
