Hey,
Just recently I have been experiencing an issue, when opening projects. Whenever I load a project, about 2 minuets after it loads,It crashes. I noticed that it doesn't happen with all of them, and that the ones that do crash have quite a bit of plugins in them. Are too many vst plugins the problem?

Post

Maybe it's one particular plugin that's causing the crash?

I had that problem, I forget which one it was now, but when opening a project I had a popup window tell me the name of the VST and the technical issue with it, then mulab crashed.

Indeed, a serious bug in MuLab / MUX 64 bit VST engine has been discovered and fixed! It occurs exactly in the situation you described. A new M6.5 update is in the pipeline, you can expect it later today. Don't worry about the project file, keep it safe, it will load fine in that next update.

Here are the new MuLab and MUX 6.5.42 app patch files:

MUX Modular VST: http://www.mutools.com/mux/app-patch/Read%20Me.html

Latest changes:
  • Fixed a serious bug in MuLab / MUX 64 bit VST host engine which could cause crashes especially when using more than 4 GB RAM in the app address space.
  • Fixed a bug in the Create Multisample Using Markers / Create Sequence Using Markers:
If there were many markers created then they key could go beyond the highest key number 127.
The new full zip packages will be released soon too.

Thank you. I actually discovered it was the plugin Massive from Native Instruments. I deleted the plugin from the project and it now loads up fine. Will the update fix this? Thanks

Pls do try it out and let me know if all works fine now using M6.5.42, including Massive VST.

Ok I installed the update. It didn't fix the problem but I figured out it was a vst only issue, not Mulab. It now works fine! Thank you
