Hakey continues to blow me away with his patch programming expertise.
I think perhaps my favorite (or very nearly favorite) patch in all the Diva patches, is perhaps "Dusky" - and you ordinarily don't associate Diva with "E-piano" patches.
That sound has a lot of CP-30 in it, to my ears.
The nearest equivalent to that "sound" is perhaps Steve Hunt on Allan Holdsworth's Secrets album I think. And I know for a fact that Steve Hunt had a JX-10, because I hung out with him and Allan briefly at a gig in the L.A. area, about that time, and that was the axe he used.
Since all the Jupiters (including the JX-10) are fairly closely emulated by Diva, I guess it shouldn't surprise - but it does. I hope the rotary emulation from Diva makes it to other u-he products in the future, also...
But I'm OT - the subject is hakey's piano sound. And it does sound a lot like a CP-70/80.
Awesome, as usual, again!

hakey,
Sounds very good: the patch and the playing! Did you come up with that patch?

It's my own patch. I'd like to say the same about the playing, but it's a midi file I found online.
Incidentally, does anyone know where I can find some funk/jazz midi files suitable for an electric piano patch?

hakey,
If you are willing to share, I would like to give that patch a spin.
