FR: MXXX in MXXX

I have created some active presets that I like to use, for example an EQ. However if I want to use say a compressor too (also an active preset) then I need to open up a new instance of MXXX.
I prefer to have just the one MXXX open.
It would be great if we could have MXXX available as an FX to open inside of the module. Then I could open up my active preset EQ (with easy screen) and use it in my chain without taking over the whole of MXXX and using up my main mods/multiparameters.
Is it possible?
Thanks.

I'm afraid if you mean open multiple active presets at once, then it won't be possible, there are many technical reasons for that. And after all, that's what the plugins are for

Wouldn't this mean "a possible endless amount of mods"?jmg8 wrote:What about mods and multis as FX inside the module?
... would be incredible cool, but I assume that this is technical not possible. I am curious what Vojtech will say to this.

Well, technically it is actually partly possible, but I'm not sure yet. Seems like quite an overhaul

Just thinking about the original issue - loading multiple Active Presets (one in the Main window and others in Modular FX)
I have no idea if this is technically feasible / easy / difficult but how about tabbing the Active presets in the Easy window:

Now, you may say that that is "not so easy", but anyone who uses MXXX should be able to handle the idea of tabbing
And .. a couple of alternative tabbing appearances (using the existing Tab graphics). In all cases the [?] pops up the info for all the tabbed presets, in a single window.

Not sure how this would work.
Let's say I have "OCD EQ" open and it in using multiparameters 1,2,3 and 4.
If i open up "Tilt compressor" next but it shares the same MPs, how will it work?
Also what would happen in the modular in terms of signal flow?

The sets of MultiParameters are kept separate. And the knobs visible on the Easy window tab control their set of MPs.. But, yes, they would need to be distinguishable to the host in some way.

I'd rather stop talking about that
. It would be possible to make MXXX an FX in MXXX, but it would be huge, and there would be no way around it. It's already way too complex will all the GUI possibilities.
