Numanoid wrote:How good is PolyAna this days compared to more recent plugs.
I mean PolyAna got a "nosejob" and looks mighty fine, but it is still at v1.x eight and a half years after it first was released.

I'm thinking that this sale means v2 is out early in 2016, and then one have to pay upgrade money to stay updated?
Poly-ana is Poly-ana. I doubt it's going to go anywhere soon in terms of development - the dev has his feet firmly planted, thinks PA is the best VA synth ever made and only did the skinning because he was tired of the complaints from customers on his crappy UI design. now the dev is whining because no one is buying PA up as he expected. so don't expect any dev on this puppy. it is what it is and you'll have to decide if its worth it to you or not.

My post about PolyAna is completely relevant to this thread, as I wonder if the lenghty sale started just now (last until Dec 31) on v1 means v2 is just around the coner.
Seems like any post about Poly-ana results in some amount of flaming/arguments/threadlock - keep in mind PA seems to come along with a bunch of bad karma. no wonder all things considered. so keep that in mind too if you decide to buy it.

14 plugs for $199, that is not even $15 per item :hyper:
I'll purchase the Nepheton out of this bundle, if anyone doesn't want it!

Numanoid wrote:Do the new MicroKey 2 ship with the full Legacy collection, as stated on their webpage?:

The microKEY comes with a serious collection of powerful music software titles including popular special editions of KORG Gadget and KORG Module plus the KORG Legacy Collection offering five classic KORG instruments as plug-ins. With microKEY Air you won’t have to purchase additional software; you can start creating music right away.

http://www.korg.com/us/products/controllers/microkey2/
Full legacy collection bundle is only for Taktile controllers - http://www.korg-license-center.com/
Microkey is eligible only for M1le.

But when I checked maybe a month ago, the site looked different and there was an info, that Microkey 61 also qualifies for full KLC bundle. Now there isn't a single worg about it.

Damn, if this goes on like this, I'll be broke before Black Friday even started :D

Can anyone tell me something about the PSP delay? Do you have experience with it? What exactly makes it unique and what other delays are comparable? Thanks in advance :)

It was released in 2006 so there are no end of reviews on the net, does no one Google anymore ?!

$29 Waves bargains looks much better in comparison with PSP :tu:

Most definitely, yes. However, I also like to have first hand and unbiased personal experiences on it. I don't want to sound rude or mean, but you could say "just Google it" under pretty much every thread (not only) on KVR and you're done - discussion closed. I just thought a forum is a place for the opposite - direct communication. No offense though, all good :)

Tempted to pick up Frostbite at this price.

I think I owe AudioThing to give some funds back to them as well, as I got their Bit synth as a compo winner last christmas, and now just got VF-1 for free the other week

Review is pretty good:

...but kind of annoying that I get charged €4.2 in VAT when I reside outside the EU, the price would be €16.8 otherwise

Don't have it, but it's very cool, 8 delays and/or taps, with filtering and modulation, and which can feed into each other.

Maybe take a look at Delay8 from ToneCarver too. It's not the same of course, and PSP makes really really awesome stuff, especially at that awesome price, but that's the closest thing to it I know of, and it's free.

I bougth PSP delay a few years ago; I still use it and would recommend it esp at that price.
Pros: very tweakable and a clear understandable UI.
Cons: because its very tweakable and flexible it does need a bit more user effort than a basic delay. Also I always felt the supplied presets somewhat hit-and-miss.

If you want something quick and easy then maybe go for something more basic. But if you are looking for control over your delays then give it a whirl, there is a demo version.

I use the PSP608MD a lot. Not so much for regular echo/delay (i have PSP Echo and 85 or even just my built in delays) but for more complex stuff. it has a filter on or in every tap plus decent reverb too. And and intricate feedback network. plus it sounds great.

608MD is my special delay. My ideal delay effector is Yamaha UD stomp, which is not available as a VST unfortunately. I think 608MD is one of those that are closer to UD stomp than the ordinal delays.

At that price, it's a steal!

Completely agreed.

Have PSP begun like Waves, in that they offer huge discount on certain plugs, the other month it was PSP Echo 70% off, and now it is the 608 at almost 80% off

everyPlugin.com wrote:Waves Kramer HLS Channel just $29 during these Two days (that’s 88% off)
It’s an EQ / mic-pre console strip modeled on a rare 60’s vintage Helios mixer.

Some Extra discount at: http://everyplugin.com/kramer-hls-channel.html
Hence $24 at EveryPlugin. AudioDeluxe asks a few dollars more.
What does JRR do? No codes seem to work.
And PluginDiscounts?

Poly-Ana is a beautiful VST. The sound is really, really great and the dev turned it back to BETA last february because he work on the Anti-Aliasing feature and the Custom skin system. To say it isn't under developed is bullshit it's now at beta7 since february. Now even more the rest this guy "plexuss" is writing above is totally bullshit. Maybe he can tell us where he think to know the number of sales? Maybe he hacked AD account? Totally bullshit.

Give the demo a spin Numa. It has really that certain "warm" "analogish" sound we all love for $80 this is a bargain! The license you purchase now is good through version 2.x. Don't worry!
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
