sfd sez just above in response to;
You have to take yourself very unserious if you still on Win XP.
I'm using Linux as my desktop operating system. So, I guess I take computing fairly serious. However I'm honestly not that familiar with Lego. So I can't really say.
You can listen to my music HERE.
But on page 1 he sez;

It's just that Omnisphere is a bit to big for my needs and budget. Besides I doubt it'll run on my 32-bit windows XP.

Any decent alternatives to Atmosphere apart from Omhisphere?
I`m sure there is a simple Lego like explanation. :wink:

That wasn`t me. Someone else said that. I just noticed your response, referring to using Linux when I remembered reading your on XP.

I just saw this;
http://www.kvraudio.com/product/pad-fac ... ts/details
- Again, not backwards compatible...only Kontakt 5.1.
I can`t run Kontakt 5 in XP if I wanted to upgrade.
Is there no interest for backward compatibility anymore?
I do understand XP is no longer supported...what I do not understand is why
these programs will not run on it.

For me it's the other way around, i actually got rid of Linux because i take computing fairly serious. At least i got fed up with fixing problems, and shitty performance and drivers, or instability when i install a couple of programs, or totally lame development speed, so i'm happy to use a real OS now.

Really - I don't have any opinion on what OS or software people use.

There are plenty of threads where people quarrel about that. Some people tend to get a bit religious about all that.

In our time people tend to consider "new" as something equal to "better" and "improed". Well, that's not always the case.

I think we would be better of by viewing "new" as "different" instead.
