Bitwig & El Capitan: 3rd Party Plugin Windows Don't Open

Hey guys,
I spent some time digging around in the forum and couldn't find any info on this. In Bitwig 1.3.x, my plugins all load properly. However, some of those plugins won't open the plugin window.
A short list of affected plugins:
> Sylenth1
> All SoundToys plugins
It's possible there are more, but these are staples for me. Anyone else having this issue, or aware of a solution?
Cheers,
X

Haven't had this issue with any of my Komplete, Uhe, Waves, TAL, or Xfer plugs. Maybe it's only specific plugins?
Also, just to reiterate what has been said in other threads, the El Capitan launch bug is an Apple issue, not Bitwig.

Yea it's only specific plugins. I own the Steven Slate suite, one or two Waves plugs, and some Sonalksis plugins that all work fine. Not sure if anyone had a solution for the others -- Sylenth in particular is a problem for me.

the opening bug is apples flaw..pruhfound wrote:Same here.
This, combined with the El Cap app launching issue that is still outstanding (after 3 updates) is really making me question my Bitwig purchase and future use.
that also happens with other applications, nickallen said once.

No offense, but there were lots of reports of issues with audio software when El Capitan was released. Given that, anyone who immediately updated was taking a risk. If you don't want to be a beta tester, then just wait.pruhfound wrote:Same here.

i still having the problem that the gui of melodyne is not opening.
the open bug must be something very special. cubase, reason, reaper, logic, sequel, alpha from fl-studio, .... works great. so i really hope they will fix it very soon.

That's just it. I did not install any beta software... and even though it may be partially on Apple (or all), that is what the betas months before release is for. It's fine (I'm using the workaround), I just feel I should have been notified that this was an outstanding issue because I would have waited.pdxindy wrote:No offense, but there were lots of reports of issues with audio software when El Capitan was released. For the future, consider a new OS initial release to be something of a beta... there are always some issues. Most have been worked out in the official beta period, but there are always some and if you happen to get it, then it can be problematic.pruhfound wrote:That's just it. Yea I'm not jumping on a hype train against Apple or Bitwig. I've worked in development for a long time and some issues like this are an absolute monster to deal with. They're also often unforseeable on the developer's side.
It does seem odd given that my other DAWs (Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools) don't have the login issue or problems opening the GUI of Sylenth, Melodyne, etc. I hope that it is resolved soon.
In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for solutions and if something pops up I'll be sure to share.

I replaced internal hard drive in MacBook Pro to 1TB SSD for Bitwig work environment, and reinstalled OS, then there was no option to upgrade to Yosemite anymore in Mac App Store. Only option for upgrade was El Capitan.pdxindy wrote:For the future, consider a new OS initial release to be something of a beta... there are always some issues. I believe the beta of Sylenth works just fine in El Capitan. So if you own it, shouldn't be a problem. The only other plug ins with problems that I have heard of are the sound toys. And don't forget Spire it's a great synth that is up there if not better than Sylenth.
