MDrummer isn't listening to me......

Hi all. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm using MD in the MIDI command mode. I've generated my beats and such. I've put my notes in my midi editor where they need to be. But MD is not playing what I'm instructing him to play. There's supposed to be a fill followed by 3 measures of a beat with the ride cymbal. MD plays the fill, then one measure with an open hat, then he settles into the ride groove. Sometimes it plays a beat, then gets to a fill, which it plays twice for some reason, even though the next note it hits is clearly a beat and not a fill.
What am I doing wrong after owning this program for a couple years? Where am I supposed to be set as far as random loops on or off, perfect sync on or off, etc, etc? It's frustrating me, because it will not play the parts I want it to play. I think if I tell him to play the E note in the beat octave, I should see the correct key being played while I'm looking at the rhythm editor, right? I can put a note on the E for example and it will (usually) play fine, but after a fill it seems to play whatever it wants until the next measure. I hope this makes sense. It has to be something I have set wrong somewhere. Thanks.
***EDIT*** Well, after a few more minutes of messing around, I've discovered something that I think should not be happening. I'm using Reaper, but not sure if that's relevant or not. If I put my notes just a bit before the actual beat in my MIDI editor, it plays fine. If it's right on the beat, MD will NOT play the correct pattern until the following measure. I'm using 16th notes. Is this something to do with MIDI note-off or something like that? I've never had to mess with that stuff before. Again, I hope this makes sense.

Hi Ed, remember when you set me straight about the sequencer mode setting indeed having an affect even in midi command. Well, I'm finding that if sequencer mode is off and my beat note after a break is a tiny bit after the 'one' the break keeps playing. Are your notes maybe not exactly snapped to grid?

I definitely have snap on. I've also zoomed in as far as possible, and I'm on the beat. I don't know if it's a Reaper issue or not. But I have to have my notes just I wee bit before the 'one'. It's a bit of a pain too. Hopefully another Reaper user will confirm this. Thanks. I'm gonna mess around with it more in a while.

Hi Ed, please send me a Reaper project, I'll check myself. Maybe there's something specific that makes it problematic. I actually didn't check recently, but the old versions of Reaper seemed working just fine, I hope they didn't mess something up...

Well....after roughly 4 days of messing with this, I started a new project just to send to you, and it works absolutely perfect. Before I was working with existing projects. So what I did, was reload MDrummer into my projects, and for some reason all is well now. My fault, false alarm, calm down, just relax! Hahahaha I love this program and hate it all at the same time!

I've been having similar problems with both Reaper and Mixbus. Perhaps it's me. It appears to only occur after a fill. For example, I have a short break playing on C# (1 bar) followed by a return to the beat on C but Mdrummer shows it as a D and plays the beat associated with that but then returns to the C after a bar. Notes are snapped to the grid.
Thanks.

Okay, my bad. I thought my midi notes were snapped to the grid. I zoomed right in and found out that they weren't. Anyway, lesson learned. Once I quantized it was all tickety boo! YAY!!
