The Hofa DeEsser is cool, decent accuracy and fairly transparent when you want it to be. The interface is very nice, with a history graph similar to what Blue Cat does. But I was able to get better results (and do it quicker) with MAutoDynamicEQ.
With very few exceptions, Melda comes out on top whenever I compare things like this. Best money I ever spent, Vojtech. The only time I rely on another multiband/spectral dynamics processor is when I need matching dynamics (instead of MAutoDynamicEQ's matching EQ) and I use DSM v2 by ProAudioDSP.
Just tried Hofa's new IQ-DeEsser - Melda wins again
