Anyone using this to sidechain other sounds via the sidechain function in Bitwig? I'm sure it's one of the reasons i keep getting crashes, be nice to clarify before the sales come and go. I'm disabling sandbox and autosuspend but it crashes and i get pops and clicks too. Without MSpectral Dynamics everything is way smoother and way less crashes take place

First of all, are you using "as bitbridge only"? Anyway could you send me a test project? I just don't know how to route anything to sidechain in that thing. Anything specific that triggers the crash? There have been quite a few compatibility issues in Bitwig, but I hoped they have the VST support finally stable, maybe not...we'll see.

I've been using side-chaining with mDynamicEq in Bitwig, and haven't experienced any trouble (in any sand-boxing mode). I don't remember seeing VST stability problems mentioned on the forum for recent versions, either.
I don't own (yet
) mSpectralDynamics, but I guess all Melda plugins share the same code for side-chaining?
Setting up a side-chain in Bitwig is done in the device panel (i.e. the instrument/effects strip at the bottom). On the corresponding plugin, select the side-chain tab (down arrow icon), then select the desired input.
