Egoist not showing as a plugin in Cubase 8 SOLVED

Egoist does not appear on the VST plugin list in Cubase 8.0.3 on a Mac 10.9.5. Rescanning doesn't work either . anyone else see this . Latest Egoist rev.

Hi woodsdenis,

ok, I would recommend to delete the Egoist.vst from
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ before installing the latest version again.

Then doublecheck whether the Egoist.vst is present beside your other VST's Cubase is using.

But before installing Egoist again please start, make a rescan and close Cubase.

This should fix it.

Hi Nadine

Unfortunately that doesn't work , deleted Egoist, did rescan, installed Egoist 1.0.11 and Cubase crashed at startup whilst scanning Egoist.
Rebooted Cubase and predictably Egoist was not in VST list.

could you please check if the standalone version works for you? The serial is marked as valid?
Also, do you mean you can't lunch it although it's in the correct folder?
Is there possibly a specific error message?

Same for Obscurium in Reaper.
It worked before but for some reason since a few days it doesn't appear anymore.
I updated Reaper to 5.1, but tried again with 5.04, and it still didn't show.
I also updated java on my computer, could it be a reason?

Standalone fine, serial valid (works in other programs) It is in the correct VST folder Library/Audio/Plugins/VST where the installer put it. No error message it just isn't seen in Cubase. Crash log sent

Hi folks,

ok, we uploaded a "silent" Egoist version where the problem should be fixed now.
Please download and install Egoist once more.
But before this I recommend to delete the Egoist.vst file from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
After deleting the files and before reinstalling please open Cubase and close it again.
