Hi guys,

SX are currently in the same building as Sonic Distribution, the UK Waves distributor. This is due to a tree destroying our regular premises' roof.

Our Softube supplier gave us incorrect prices for whole range for Black Friday, hence our crazy cheap pricing over the weekend. ALL the codes sold through us over the weekend are being honoured and will be sent out this evening.

We had to remove the Softube products from our website temporarily to prevent further sales at the the incorrect pricing unfortunately. If you got in there quick, well done! :tu:

Apologies for any inconvenience or delay getting anyone their codes.

The Black Friday has been a record breaker for sure.

If any one has any queries regarding SX just drop me an email: lawrence@sxpro.co.uk (mailto:lawrence@sxpro.co.uk)

Barely

But then again I already own Element, and according to CM:

"Nearly everything in Codex, other than the wavetable oscillators, is functionally identical to Element"

So I dunno....

Post

I'm a sucker for sound and vision. The Codex GUI beats Element by 10k miles.
But then again, there's the Puig EQ, and the H-Comp, and the V-Comp, all at $17 :hyper:

Post

Yeah, I would love to go for it, but I am also hesitating because I'm fearingthe updated Waves install procedure, and also that the plugs only got 1 year WUP

Post

That's not really an issue for me. They'll have to abandon WUP this year or the next. It's just not 2015 anymore.
My main reason against Codex is, and I know it's an entirely different animal, the fact that I got LuSH from d16 for $40. If that's a benchmark of sorts, then Codex, even at $44, is way too expensive :)

Edit: hey, Num, one more post and you're at 15k

Wow, during the BF or earlier?

At 15000 now, but as I have posted a bit in OT, I expect to drop below sooner or later as posts get deleted when they reach a certain age

Congrats, my man Num!
On that LuSH, it's a Bitwig deal where all Bitwig users got a 75% coupon for any d16 plug.

Yeah, well, saying a wavetable synth is functionally identical to another non-wavetable synth except for the *wavetable* oscillators is just silly in terms of what it can do. It's nice to know I suppose if you're familiar with Element, since lots of Codex will be familiar, but it sure doesn't tell you anything about how it sounds, or what it's like to work with. Those oscillators are kind of an important feature, methinks.
