I'm really enjoying the SuperOsc, and I just noticed that you change the waveform for it in its box, so yeah, SuperSaw, SuperHighpassParabola, SuperBandlimitedTriangle, it's up to you.

Wow seems like a versatile synth! And it is multi channel and multioutput. (My old laptop says thank you)
Very easy to setup in FruityLoops.
Understanding it will definitely be part of the challenge (and it should be imho)
There is a project included in the zip file (midi and presets bank).
I suggest you take a look at it.

I cannot believe this thing is a real multitimbral synth.
One instance of it remembers all 16 instruments (unlike Oxe FM
).
(Thanks for the videos, Brian!)

LhaastDaiz wrote:Not sure if it's a saw but you can select SuperOsc from the waveform selector to make use of the multicount detuned thingy in the box. Samples can be played by selecting the Sample waveform too.
I even looked there but it was near the saw so I didn't inspect closer
Also found the nice formant filter and trancegate much to my pleasure

No samples, all synthesized - so yes, it is allowed.Tjgoa wrote:Noticed that too, seems she can sing -- is this allowed?ghettosynth wrote:I want to know what the speech tab does?
Listen to RuediRena's track from OSC30 Farbrausch V2. Made the same way which was a real PITA to program.

A word of warning:
Use a limiter on your DAW and be careful with the feedback control of the various synthesis models. Reapers muting feature bewared me from losing my speakers several times last night. This thing produced peaks up to +950 dB!

This thing looks like a beast... Shame it's Windows only, I would have given it a try.

Really crazy thing, this one...
Looks intimidating at first but actually only took a few minutes of exploring to figure it (very roughly) out. A lot of options I have no idea to even begin figuring out what they mean but on the other hand, like Mux, you can choose to go as shallow or deep as you like.
Just pick a wave form and a filter for voice 1, with proper modulation like ADSR and LFO, and you have a standard subtractive.
Not sure I'll have time to participate this round though but I hope to chip in with something at least.

This looks very awesome! There are somethings I don't know how to do so far:
MORE MODULATION Is there anyway to increase the modulation amount with ADSRs or ENVs? I've have the modulation amount set to 64 and tried "amplify" in both "ADSRs" and "Envelopes" and "Generate Envelope" but there seems to be a cap. I have also tried using VALUE and multiplying "Envelope Amplify" in the MOD matrix.
EDIT: nevermind I think I used the curves wrong.
LEGATO I want to press a key then press a another and it shall change tone. Then when I release the second, I want it to change back to the first one I started pressing (and only trigger "key on" for the first key pressed).
Panning for the different suboscs in the SuperOSC would be nice aswell.

Short, the (admittedly for newbies somewhat complex) modulation matrix is the core of the whole concept of BR808. A friend from me will maybe make youtube tutorial videos for this issue, in some days.V'ger wrote:wrote:
Apart from that, I see there are no automatable parameters, and the sliders grab handle point is very small to make things unnecessary fiddly..

Uhm...I haven't read through all the comments, but I can't get this thing to work properly at all. Even under 32bit, loading the fxb preset bank won't play a single sound. JBridged this thing bugs out when reopening the interface. Under 32bit I can't use Midi inputs... so... fun idea, but that's that.
(Note to self: Have plenty of people alpha- and beta test my VST before even bothering to suggest it to the OSC!)

Looking forward to what you guys come up with this thing...

I'm really sorry to hear this. I was so looking forward to what my hero was going to come up with for this thing.Taron wrote:Uhm...I haven't read through all the comments, but I can't get this thing to work properly at all. Mahahaha, thank you, Wag! Yeah, I'm sorry, too...it looks like it could do crazy stuff. At the same time I find it utterly encouraging in regards to my own synth. I think, it'll be a real breath of fresh air, once it's done!
