Has anyone had any joy with this, I managed to get a bottom right hand corner of a .mov file to play, but that was 5 hours ago, got nothing at all now. Am on a late iMac and El Capitan..
Thanks.
Thanks.

Why do you speak of T7, you're a betta tester ?

My bad, it's 6.2.4, it just shows as T7 in the finder window. I've tried .mp4 and .mov formats. I've got a little sound but it's broken up, no video though.

Could you outline how you're loading video, and which formats that you use or know to be incompatible.frankvg wrote:For me working with video on a mac was always working perfectly.
I've never had it working in any version of Tracktion but it's always been ok in Reaper for me..
Thanks.

Just tested some .mp4, .mov and .m4v files. They all work fine.
I open them in the edit page: movies, 'set video file'. When you ctrl-click the video you can set the video window to be on top.
Jules mentioned somewhere that Tracktion uses Quicktime so perhaps something is funky with your codecs?

Thanks. I'm using video unaltered off a Zoom Q4, but don't know enough about codecs at the moment. I've got the job done on Reaper, but it would be good to know how to do this in Tracktion so that I can just use the one DAW.

Never tried the Mac version, but I had to recompress MP4s on Widows with Handbrake to get it to work.

The video window got stuck off screen for me. I have no idea how or why. I finally wrote a little AutoHotKey script to pull it back into view.

The audio is shot to bits as well, I've been in touch with Traction about this, will see what happens..
