The only good thing about Element is that everything is still on one page, while Retrologue has more and more pages and tabs

And at what price? It will probably use a lot more CPU than v1 because of those 0df filters. Do Waves have any experience with such filters?

2 OSC + 1 Sub
The one page feature is for me very good because I don't love turning pages

Retrologue trumps that easily with:MillerSam wrote:2 OSC + 1 Sub

You have here
DCO
VCO
FM between OSC 1 and OSC 2
FM between OSC 1 and Filter
Phase Modulation
...
I think for 37 USD, it can a lot of and a good Sequencer / ARP

There is no point in even comparing the features of the two, Retrologue oscillators also have different modes. Element is much less flexible, which however does not always have to be a bad thing.
Effects are also worlds apart, Element is very basic in that respect as well.
The sound quality of Element v1 was also worse than with freeware such as Charlatan. Curious to see if and how that has changed.
One thing I don't like about Waves is that they have that shell thingy so they don't work in some DAW's such as Mulab.

Retrologue 2 looks great and sounds very possible very good
But I'm still not the fan of E-Licenser but I try to get it for my blog and youtube channel

Yep! It is a great deal. I bought it even though I don't like somehow Waves protection, but at least it is more flexible than e-licenser (which I uninstalled everything related to it).MillerSam wrote:!! You can get now Element 1 for 37 Dollar on Audio Deluxe with the Cyber Monday Waves Code
If they make now a free upgrade, I say great deal
Anyway, great price for Element. I couldn't ignore
So, how long does it take till Audio Deluxe sends "something"? I have an account with Waves, so will it automatically added there?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Will look forward to this, I'm a fan of Element's sound (as well as Codex). I think it's just nuts to compare synths by the numbers. IMO synths with a relatively limited set of features are usually more characterful and have a sound of their own than synths with unlimited set of features. I love the fact that developers concentrate on sound rather than features.
Having said that, curious to see what unison modes are under the knob there, I'd like to see possibility to set it mono.

Beyond the friendlier user interface without clicking back and forth between panels and pages, I don't see how meaningful additional features can hurt. Element sound has also been inferior to Retrologue's so far, and I don't really expect that to change. Steinberg simply have a whole lot more experience in synth programming. And even regarding effects, which is Waves' traditional business, the effects included in Element v1 were surprisingly weak.

With all due respect - it really seems that you don't know what you are talking about. And that goes for most of your latest postings.fluffy_little_something wrote:Beyond the friendlier user interface without clicking back and forth between panels and pages, I don't see how meaningful additional features can hurt. Why? I have had both, and while I sold both because I was not really happy with either, Retrologue seemed clearly better than Element.
I think Element is good for leads, whereas Retrologue shines at dense pads and other poly sounds that are not possible with Element due to the lack of waves.
