Hello!

What are the 2CA plans regarding Kaleidoscope? Any update on the horizon (it is almost an year from the initial release)?

They said in another thread that they are working on it and we'd be amazed so fingers crossed :)

Denis has been spending a lot of time redoing "infrastructure" things in the code... i.e. stuff that is not particularly sexy, but is somewhat necessary to keep our code clean, maintainable, and more readily shared by larger teams of people as we add more people to our development. I.e. it slows us down now so that we can go faster later (soon). This is taking longer than estimated, but we area about done now.

Unfortunately in my experience, time estimates in software development, especially complex software, are a bit like this:

https://www.quantamagazine.org/20151124 ... h-problem/
Spielman realized that he himself might be in the perfect position to solve it. “It seemed so natural, so central to the kinds of things I think about,” he said. “I thought, ‘I’ve got to be able to prove that.’” He guessed that the problem might take him a few weeks.

Instead, it took him five years.
Very, very cool things are in various stages of completion, but I am (slowly) learning not to talk about them until they are truly complete...

More info as soon as possible...

I'm looking forward to it Andrew. I've had some fun so far with KS. It's ready when it's ready. :phones:

Here is an experiment with a piano-roll-sort-of-approach for creating pattern-orientated stuff:

I took the challenge, downloaded 2 images from the link you posted, prepared them for KS, wrote a tuning file, made a Phonem patch saying Pluto back and forth and here you go:
