Hello,

I started a new project (song) and got everything set up just the way I want with vsti's and submix tracks and plugins on tracks. I then saved it as a template which was one of the options.

Now how do I use that template to start a new project (song)? I can't seem to figure it out Seems like it should be so easy (like it was in Reaper when I was using that)

I created a folder folder for the new song in the Tracktion Projects folder and named it. Then I clicked on New Project and navigated to that folder. However, the Template field shows no templates. So where is the template I just saved as described above? Where did I save it to and how can i use it?

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Go to the projects page, select new project, now at the New Project tab you will see a tab that read Template <NONE> select the <NONE> tab and a drop down menu will appear with all your templates you make :tu:

Thanks for your reply!

I tried that before (just did again now to be sure) and it just says "none". There is nothing in the drop down menu.

Open you project go save it first then select save as template give your template a name do not include clips press okay then go to project page and try it if it doesn't work try this, its sure to work open your project, the one you want to make a template from, go to the export tab select (Create archive of this edit save the edit) make sure you you unselect the the tab (Include files from library project) select the little box the right of the destination tab and rename it the name you want you template to be an create a folder an call it tracktion templates an save the achive to that folder an when ever you want use the template go to project page select, open project go to the folder you put the archive file in select it make copy and paste the edit in the same folder then open one of the copies before you do anything else on the project page rename this change this project name make you rename the project and not the edits you made a copy and renamed it so your original template project will stay blank for future use this is also the way to share templates and whole sessions with ease

Try using punctuation, FFS.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Got it to work. Thank you. I guess you have to give it a different name for it to show up in the template list.
