I found out what the biggest problem is in 2.7.2 and other updated u-he plugs
When changing a control that reflects its changes in another (bigger) window , like the wave knob reflects its changes in the waveset window , the modmap in the bigger modmap window (when maximized ), and even the eq dsp in the effects lane
Or actions that include mousesweep/draw over a certain range (like in the max.modmap/waveform window )
Then the gui elements of my host slow down/lag , the position of these gui elements on zebra's interface determine the amount of lagging .
When the wave knob is assigned to the xy controller 1 , the gui elements are NOT slow down , when assigned to xy 2,3 or 4 lagging begins .
Same for the fm key scaling , adjusting this for fmo1 = almost no lag , adjusting them for 2-->4 creates lag ,iow the further to the right on zebra's gui , lagging begins.
Is there a new sort of overlay system in the waveform window/modmapper ?
In combination with my host renoise , when using the comp kbd to play notes (it's a tracker ) and at the same time perform the above described actions with zebra , lag + notes not even coming through .
When assigned to a midi controller , the problem is gone .
Is there a new sort of overlay system in the waveform window/modmapper that introduces a noticeable overhead/lagging ?
I installed zebra 2.7.O before the update and these problems were not present (2.7.0) .
Also since zebra's background gui has stayed the same in size , it's fair to say that the problems arise from the new settings dialog/update and whatever it does under the hood .
Sure , my laptop is old and my graphics card is under specified ( no gamehead here ) , but the annoyances this update brings are just a pita .
@ urs , when I buy zebra is it possible to get version 2.7 instead of 2.7.2 ?
