Hi,

is it possible to replace an eq completely with mcharacter? For example a voice with low rumble under 90Hz. I think no, but maybe I don't use it the right way.
And what about notch filters. I think I need a combination of both, correct.
These questions I got after reading the MCharacter manual, which sounds like an eq will be obsolete?!

Thanks and greets

Marek

...probably, but not very well...MC will "follow" the notes of/from the voice and affects the overtones/spectral content and is very dynamic...in a sense the rumble is fixed/constant and so could be removed with an eq...otoh...because we are talking Melda here with all the "modulators" and "dynamic" controllers it might just be possible...hth.../s~

MCharacter is only suitable for monophonic material so it can't replace an EQ, no.

Correct, but for monophonic signals?

Well, I wouldn't recommend that probably. Eqs have their own use, MCharacter as well.
