Hi there

Thanks for taking time out to read this, i need your help as soon as possible

It involves the Sylenth plugin. So, recently, I made a switch from Windows to Linux, and I'm really loving it.
After running my DAW (FL Studio), it runs well, except for a major part thats getting on my nerves: Sylenth is not working as expected...
Using version 2.2.1, it loads up and then either stays on being non-functional or crashes with this error:
==access violation at address 0E84D1E7 in module 'Sylenth1.dll'. Read of address 38D38DE==


So, to get around this, I have tried the following: (Fails...)
- I ran an older sylenth (version 1.something, and it works, but it lacks support for nearly all my preset packs as it is outdated)
- I tried hex edit hacks on the new sylenth presets to try to get working in version 1
- I tried running Sylenth through an external VST bridging host, but result crashed with same error as above.

I'm in desperate need of a solution to this, as productive time is being lost and its driving me insane...Can you please tell me a fix to this?
Is it possible to port all my new sound banks to the old version or is there something i could do to get the new version working??

Current windows version of Sylenth1 doesn't work with WINE. As far as I can tell - most of the VST developers ignore the WINE compatibility. For example, several months ago I've asked the Reveal Sound to make Spire a WINE-compatible. They even haven't spent a minute to give me a short abstract answer, something like "Currently we don't have such plans". It's possible that LennarDigital will make next Sylenth1 release to work with WINE, but from my point of view, the probability of this event is negligible.
If you want to use Linux, I suggest you change your DAW to the Bitwig Studio and use VST plugins from that list. There are many excellent NATIVE plugins even from the commercial developers (to not engage in advertising, I will not name them here). Also, you can use some windows dlls with WINE and my VST bridge.

Hi Sara,

phantom-one is right, the current Windows version of Sylenth1 is not supported on WINE.

We're currently rewriting Sylenth1 completely to v3.0, the new Mac version has been in beta with our customers for the past two months and in meanwhile we're working on the Windows version. We expect this new version will have an improved support for Linux, but we haven't been able to test this yet since it's still in development.

We expect this version will go into beta somewhere in the next month(s), then you'll be able to test it in WINE.

I understand the situation, sadly though I have to continue dual-booting :(
I hoped to get this sorted before the new year.
However, how will i know when the beta will be available for testing? Please do keep me up to speed on the release date
