There is a specific premise to this posting. I have two Receptor 2+ units which are working great and doing everything I need them to do until I can advance to a VIP for at least one of them. My situation is this. I use an EWI to control my receptors and I often times work in a big Band also playing saxophone, using the EWI to cover a few doubles and other different sounds. Logistically, I am in a very confined stage space with a stand front for charts etc. along with three other section members. What I am wondering is if a musebox could be loaded with the specific plugins I would need to cover the few sounds I have to use in this situation giving me a small footprint that I could set up under the stand front. It would involve FM8, The Swam Clarinets and possibly Flutes and saxes and Sampletank. Is this a possibility since I don't think the musebox allows for user added plugins? All of these run on My 2+ units and I am guessing that a musebox CPU is at least as powerfulL

Sorry, I don't think the MuseBox will fill your purposes:
1.) As you described, it is indeed a 'preset box"; you can not choose which plugins you wish to load
2.) The processor is not the same as any Receptor variant. If I recall correctly, it is an 'Atom' or some other very low power mobile processor.
I think your Receptor 2+s are the only thing that will cover what you want at the moment.
