I have been using Tracktion demo for a couple of days now and i must say that it is everything i ever wanted!

Coming from the Sonar line i now have found my inspiration again. I was nearly giving up composing because of the uninspiring/technical/non-working Sonar.

This have been mentioned here over and over again, that Tracktion will make you concentrate on the music. I didn't take that too seriously. I should have.

Everything works out logically, the way it should!

Should i wait for v.2 or will there be a lean upgrade path?

v1 users will get some kind of deal on t2 and i expect it tobe slightly cheaper than a full copy of t2

JK. Nobody has a clue, since Mackie's policy is to not announce product release until it's ready to ship. Some of us speculate around October, but that's pure speculation and the work of fevered minds.

I'd say get v1 right now. There's no way it'll cost you MORE to upgrade than to buy v2 separately, and it will likely cost less. Therefore you will probably save money AND get to start using it right away.

that was a joke too, sorry for trying to inject some humor.

anyways, I didn't mean for you guys to snap back. I recommend the user to buy and upgrade, he'll end up saving money and having time to work on music anyways
