A tip to lower CPU usage
As we have found out the Reverb section (global) also controls master output gain.
Set the number of allpass filters the reverb uses to minimum, if you are not using it, to get half the CPU usage.

Okay thx for the tip. Not really using the built-in reverb as it can be hard to manage with the multi-out version so just relying on simple 3rd party verbs mostly.camsr wrote:A tip to lower CPU usage

Still finding that the internal Comp and Distortion are a sure-fire bet for THD (Total Hospitalization of DAW)
FL has been remarkably reliable with this thing ....so far

I thought I had made a nice melody but I just found out it's almost the same as "The long and winding road" from the Beatles ...

There's a better way, explained a few times above!camsr wrote:A tip to lower CPU usage

1. Go to GLOBALS/REVERB and uncheck ACTIVE
2. Go to INSTRUMENT/GLOBALS and set REVERB to full left and OUTPUT to full right.
The reverb should now not waste any CPU cycles at all

Are there any ways to be sure that one does'nt replicate other "well known" tunes ?rghvdberg wrote:I thought I had made a nice melody but I just found out it's almost the same as "The long and winding road" from the Beatles ...

I finally stopped fiddling with my entry and uploaded it...you all know how hard it is to let go

DAW: Reaper 4
15 x BR808 instances
FX: ReaEQ, ReComp, ReaVerbate, Ferric TDS
Had a lot of fun with this synth even though it certainly caused a few technical headaches, but it is always good to persevere ...it is a challenge after all

Thanks a lot buddy...I appreciate the enthusiasm! I wouldn't have thought my patches are anything special, but since there are so few available for this synth, I will happily upload mine. Give me a day or so to get around to doing it...Tjgoa wrote:zendorfamazing!! I'm blown away bro!!! Will you share your patches? Good job on this one

Sure thing bro! As it stands now, I don't think ill have time this month - certainly not if i have to program sounds from scratch. If there are enough patches around, I might be able to put something together if im just composing
It depends how soon i can finish the track im working on
