the two I did were in G#1 and A1abique wrote:Hey,pdxindy wrote:Choke option is not working consistently
I add a drum machine and put two e-hats in... use one to choke to other. It made the other go silent altogether and I had to delete to e-hat and add another to get it working again. Next time it worked ok. Then I tried again and was getting pops and a bit of static. But I tried it again and it worked.
I'll report further if I find a repeatable bug.
I tried to reproduce what you said:
- add drum machine
- put e-hat in C1
- put e-hat in C#1
- C1 chokes C#1
- plays some drum loops that triggers the choke
Everything was working fine for me.

Just tried the drum chokes, and indeed it is not working consistently.pdxindy wrote:Choke option is not working consistently

I add a couple of ehats and a kick drum, and only 1 hat chokes on my kick drum, the other hat which should choke too keeps playing when the kickdrum hits. Definetely should be looked upon.
The new zoom to fit is also much better (thank you), but why not full zoom ?
I also noticed zoom to fit doesnt work when the selection is for example 1/4th of a bar, it leaves alot of space on the right side.
Great update tho

Unable to get the audio engine running on my windows machine, using WASAPI audio. Various crash reports sent.
Looking at the drum machine and setting the choke groups, I think this should be made more visible as its an important setting that is hidden in the right click menu. I would prefer to see this added to the inspector panel, so when you select a pad the inspector shows the choke settings.

I think GeekModel is talking about the clip boarders.

Right clicking to delete automation nodes is not working. It actually creates a node. (backspace key works fine though)

I am wrong or is there no easier way to set up a choke group than going into the menus for each individual pad multiple times? It would be good if you could simply select multiple drum pads and add them to a choke group in one go.

+1 on velocity suggestions.takaii wrote:..And implement ctrl+shift for changing velocity like with arrow.volker@bitwig wrote: IMPROVED - Made pencil tool smarter - it now lets you move and extend notes/clips without having to
i wonder who use velocity before puting in notes. Also strange that pencil tool cant remember last set velocity. Allways 80 percent.

thx for the MIDI editor update, beside the velocity, only the multi note length editing with a key modifier is missing for me now

in Bitwig it needs another tool and and an other click

Well you could use the Quantize Length shortcut, but it quantizes to your Default grid so you would also need to set that up as well. I like the way it is in Logic, you use the Shift key and all the notes snap to the same length.xbitz wrote:in Bitwig it needs another tool and and an other click

That piano roll behavior stuff is very subjective. Probably the only way to make everyone happy is to give control over what each mouse action does, like in Reaper. In other words, let you make your own custom "tools." Maybe that doesn't fit with Bitwig's philosophy, but I think it would be cool. Midi editing is such a fundamental thing to the experience. Everyone does different stuff, uses different input devices (track pad, mouse, touch), so it's strange to think there can be a one size fits all solution. If some action happens to be awkward for you you have to deal with it literally hundreds of times a day when you need to be using all your concentration for the music and getting things out of your head and into the computer as quickly as possible. Even double clicking instead of single click to add note gets really old for me, but I'm not going to use the pen tool since switching tools all the time is worse.
