$10 USD!! That's right folks, you read correctly!!

If any other developer were to release an upgrade you'd be paying that $71 USD they are asking for now, or maybe a bit less. But that's the power of WUP, my upgrade to the next major version only cost me $10!!

I seriously better not hear any anti-Waves/anti-WUP users bitching about that!! Seriously folks.
Not true.. .for example coming Zebra3 the upgrade from Zebra2 + The Dark Zebra: Free.. ..or Sylenth v3.0 is free for existing customers.

Sure there are a few more.

Also to recapitulate: You are happy that you paid $99 (in best case for v1) and to add $10 on top now for v2 while others have both for $71? Seriously.. 8)

PS. Before i forgot regarding your strange comment i quote: If you don't like others have a different view on this why bother spreading your?
Actually I'm pretty sure I got it for $69... But even if it were $100 yep I'm happy. Close enough in my case. I don't go splitting hairs.

No doubt there are cheaper synths and no doubt some don't charge you for their version upgrade, in my experience there are very few of them. Consider NI, consider IK, consider AAS, consider, Slate before the subscription, and there are many more... they all charge for upgrades.

I briefly checked that my WUP for Element would be 24 USD or something like that, wonder what makes the difference.

Did you check the above option "I hereby confirm that I run all products on one machine at a time. " option at the top??
That could also mean none of the products on more than one machine, yet each product on a different machine :hihi:

What a beautiful GUI by the way :)

So, how are the new envelopes?

For your information, the WUP price seems to be related to the time since the WUP coverage expired.

For me, my WUP coverage for Element was expired since July 2015. Yesterday, the price to renew was 14,60$, while today it's 14,70$. I just bought it to upgrade to Element 2.0.

I think Element 2 sounds much better. It is a huge step up from 1. GUI...eh, well...

I preferred the black to be honest...but hey, the real point is the sound.

Keep in mind this is only a 2 oscillator synth, I think it does extremely well!!

Yep! Sounds very cool... GUI is 'nice', just like the first one. :?
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

I noticed that Element 2 has a Limiter on the out, internal, i don't remember if 1 had one, you can not go into red now. Also, Element 2 does not remember MIDI Learn, you set, you change a patch and its gone.

Oh my, over 60MB just for trying the demo, no thanks 8)

Anyone having trouble updating? I'm getting a message saying that the Element 2 license is missing even though the 2.0 license is posted to my computer. I've been trying to send the license back to the cloud then back to the computer again, reinstalling etc but no luck so far.

Jesus! Fluffy! Is your Internet connection that bad? I mean 60mb is nothing nowdays really..

..Please avoid the "What you are downloading now?" thread.. It would break my heart..
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Well, it's a mobile phone access, so I have to watch my monthly traffic because I also need that access for work :P
But the month is gradually drawing to a close. If I have traffic left a week from now, I will try it of course :)

Had a somewhat similar problem a while ago but with Element 1 and Codex licenses just not showing up at all even though i followed the step by step instructions.

Just deleted, and uninstalled the products (including Waves Central) downloaded, and reinstalled. Everything worked perfectly after that. Not sure if that was the best, or quickest solution, but it did the trick.

Did you click the "Get latest version" in your Waves account so it really is 2.0 license? I´m wondering why there is this manual option when it´s supposed to be the latest version anyway after WUPped.

They say this on WUP page:
"* No matter how many non-overlapping products you own or how much time has passed since your coverage was last updated - your coverage is capped at $300 per account for one full year's coverage, starting today."

Would be quite misleading if the price - other than capped - would depend on when WUP has expired.

Mine would be $23.80, expired since January 10, 2014. No difference if I check the one machine at a time checkbox.
