Doesn't this daw already time stretch regular wav loop files? - so it kind of defeats the need for rex file support. But if it still that important that you all should load them you can use a rex player plugin like pHATmatik, which will load them just fine.

Take the same drum loop in .wav and in .rx2 format, experiment with the tempo, changing in up +-30 or more etc, Notice the different in sound quality. THAT is the reason for rex support. :tu:

Pretty much every DAW has rex support, and for good reason. Bitwig needs it to, especially since it seems to target "loop based musicians".

Defeats the purpose of rexfiles? How if you have rex loops you wana use how does bitwig destroy the purpose? Its like u have a media player that only can play wav, but most of your formats are in aiff. Both have same quality and considered music, but you would still love to listen to your aiff song even if they mostly are the same right? So no purpose defeated mate

Good to know. It could be read as an insult thats why i asked :) Better asking then thinking everything peoplre write is bad just because it looks like insults. I know a couple who uses em. It would be cool with rex suport. But for me i rather have flac, aiff, mp3, etc export options

yes. I have some old, but very useful REX files.
When I want to use them, I have to use other DAW.

I think its more insulting to start a topic and rant that everybody dont read well or didnt watch your video or they dont understand your "problem" and calling poeple mate ,dude and whatever. And depict as dumb. And then close that topic, before i even got the chance to comment again. It was just a question pdxindy asked.
No offense just saying , calm down sometimes. You are heard, you can barely be missed.

I asked him if he was insulting it can be read as insulting. "are people still using rex files". IT can sound like that reading it like its something old and yes it is but people use it. So i kindly asked him if he was insulting and he said no. He was just curious he said because its an old format and he seldom hear people talk about it.

I wasn't jumping to conclusion. and thought it might be an insult and thats why i asked.

About that thread you kinda came at me saying it was because of certain things and because clap is raw etc etc.
"Codec17: I dont know if bitwig needs to fix this, your clap is RAW.. but not a full bar long. Make it a full bar, not your clap, but the clip where it is in. You,ve got snap to objects on and absolute snapping off. ????? Then its no wonder why this is happening..."
Which wasnt that kind either since you jumped at me with conclusions

The reason that i explained i turned Absolute snapping off and snap to objects on was because i talked about snap to objects and not absolute snapping and why objects to snap that is on by default can create problems.

I didnt wana keep arguing thats why i locked thread. I wasn't posting to arguing what i did wrong or not, but how objects to snap can make project have gaps. However i did use some bad language like "Omg", expressing to much emotion in text not good.

i wrote private message to dom explaining that snap to objects creates problems. and he wondered why and it is suppose to work like that. And he was curious why i even had snaps to object active, and i told him that bitwig has it on by default. He agreed that it could create problems to leave it on by default and in the next update he removed it so it was no longer active by default.

About "mate, dude etc." a lot of people talk /write like that without insulting intention and i never intended to insult and you know it. but i will stop talking writing like that because it feels like some people cant take it that people call em that without knowing them and i am not here to argue about that why and how you are insulted by it. Ill stop because i know its more than you and i keep that in respect.

But yes sometimes i can be hotheaded and you are right i will try keep calm. but this time i was though
