How to record free-wheeling synth

This is embarrassing...
I can't remember how to record the audio from a free-wheeling synth?

Not sure what a free wheeling synth is, but you can make the input on a blank track be the output from a track with a VST synth on it, turn on record on the blank track, and record that, if that's what you mean? On newer versions of tracktion, anyway

Thanks for your help - Right - a free-wheeling synth is one that produces sound on it's own without any inputs from a controller... like EZDrummer 2 for example.
I kept messing with it until I finally got it sorted. It seems that with T6, just add a second track record enabled, with a Tracktion return filter.

No, it's easier than that mate. Just right click the input section of the track you want to record TO, choose Audio Track, and then choose the track you want to record from.
So to record the output from track 1, which has the VST on it, on track 2, do it like this pic;
