My face is lit up by smile and beautiful light at last!!!
I finally got it working, I went wrong in your direction to open up every file and put them all into one file. So I deleted, re installed, checked that all the files were opened, didn't move anything around this time, Ran Steves comand #!/bin/sh
open -a /Applications/Bitwig\ Studio.app/Contents/MacOS/BitwigStudio
cd ~/Documents/Bitwig\ Studio/Controller\ Scripts/Push4Bitwig/push2/push2display
/Applications/Bitwig\ Studio.app/Contents/PlugIns/JavaVM.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java -cp "*" push22bitwig.Push22Bitwig worked on mac. Thanks to everyone, and Moss, watched the tutorials on you tube for push 1, Really good, now play that funky music white boy!!
P.s. not sure if I understand java code any more now but hey, It got lit up!

Great that it works for you!

So I quit everything and tried to run it again, I have to enter that code I mentioned earlier to start this display every time? when I had push plunged in and turned on bigwig, it lights up and side lights as well, but no screen action, other than it says PUSH in the middle.
for the mac inside that java preview window, where bigwig path and check mark to run automatically is, what technobear said: /Applications/Bitwig\ Studio.app/Contents/MacOS/BitwigStudio. is the correct path

is there any mode yet to get waveforms on the controller screen for bigwig for example playing with compressors or a peak limiter when your watching the master channel?
Thanks again!

Is the Push1/2 really usable with Bitwig? Is the feature set available really in line with Live features?

I would like to get Push 2, but I would like to be certain that I will be happy with my hardware synths, Bitwig and Push together. Wouldn't like to go back to Live. Perhaps I need to loan a Push 1 and try it out.

No it's just an illusion created by attackers from outer space :hihi:

As a first step I wrote a compatibility mode for Push 2:

The display adaption is coming along nicely. Stay tuned...

Ok, loaned Push 1 from a friend and the script is pretty awesome in Bitwig, great work! I still need to do some testing before I can buy one.

I had some problems, every now and then Push became unresponsive for a moment. I don't know if my machine was the fault, though, as I have had similar hiccups with Akai controllers and Bitwig earlier.

There isn't any per step automation in sequencing yet, at least I couldn't figure out that?

Where would I have to look in the scripts when I would like to have this option by presssing and holding a note in sequencer mode? So instead of hold accent -> hold a note for maybe 2 seconds
Uh, that's pretty difficult since long presses for pads are currently not supported in the framework.
Hi moss,
Is this going to change in the future? Something á la ableton would be really nice.
I've noticed a little quirk in drum mode: when holding the mute/solo button and a pad the pad is triggered.

Thanks for your work and thanks for sharing this for free! :tu:

Cheers!

codec17 wrote:Hello again.

I,ve discovered some strange behaviour when in a group.
When there are more then 8 tracks in a group and want to skip to track nine with the arrow keys it doesnt let me go to the next page where 9 is...
If i select track nine with my mouse it selects it of course on push, but if you want to skip with arrow buttons to track 8 it jumps back to 9.

I thought it got maybe something to do with that i vary to much tracks around ...
But when just make a group and put 10 clean tracks it , it happens also here.
Someone can confirm this behaviour? Or is it well know and i didnt read or paid attention good enough?  :dog:
Thanx in advance!
I can reproduce that and it seems to be a Bitwig bug. I created an issue for it https://github.com/teotigraphix/Framewo ... issues/106

Pieeeuw.It isnt me.
Thank you for reporting.. (I didnt, because i waited for you to try it, and scared to get a very technical code hokus pokus :scared: mail back i just wouldnt understand :dog:   )
So i thought it would be better for you to explain/report to the devs. Sorry for the extra work i put on your shoulders. :tu:

Hey moss

A few questions about your wonderful script for Push

1. I have an original Push, not Push 2. Do you think there is any advantage to upgrading to a Push 2 for the purposes of using it just for Bitwig?

2. Bitwig 1.2 saw the introduction of group tracks. It's awesome, I use this feature all the time now. However with the Push in session mode I've noticed that you can only ever see just the clips from the currently selected group. This is not ideal for live performance. Is there any way to show clips from more than one group track on the push in session mode. That would be an amazing feature.

3. I am a web developer with a decent amount of JavaScript experience. Once I feel more confident with how everything works I am more than happy to help contribute features to the script by submitting a pull request or two. Really appreciate your work on this script so far and would love to give something back at some stage.

Keep up the great work!

Would like to see that too but it requires an API extension first.

As a late Christmas gift I released version 7.00 of Push4Bitwig! The main news is the full graphical (!) support now for the Push 2 (phew that was lots of work) but there are also lots of goodies for Push 1 users.

I tested and verified Push2Display now on all 3 OS platforms incl. start scripts for all of them! Detailed installation instruction for Windows, Mac and Linux are now in the Wiki:
https://github.com/git-moss/Push4Bitwig ... stallation
Note: The path of Push2Display has changed if you update from the previous version!

As usual get it from: http://www.mossgrabers.de/Software/Bitwig/Bitwig.html

Changes:
- Push 1 & 2
New: Added Mute, Solo and Auto Monitor buttons to Master track (use 2nd row buttons like with normal tracks).
New: The flip mode of the session view is now be stored as a setting
Improved: Drum Pads no longer sound when used in combination with Delete, Mute or Solo buttons.
Improved: Button redrawing on track change (removed flickering)
Improved: Better readability in Browser mode
Improved: Display of Groove mode
Fixed: Unused knobs in Groove mode were not deactivated and produced errors
Fixed: Select indication of Device, Volume, Track, Pan and Clip did not work all the time
Fixed: Marker enablement in Panel selection view.
Fixed: Midi CC 127 could not be selected for ribbon.
Fixed: Error when CC for ribbon was selected and the ribbon was not yet used
Fixed: CC area of ribbon was not working in PB/CC mode
- Push 2
New: Implemented graphical support for the display
New: Lock Solo/Mute (behaviour like Push 1): Shift+Solo/Mute
Improved: Push2Display: Correct default path for Bitwig Studio depending on OS
Fixed: Push2Display: Start of Bitwig Studio did not work on Mac
Fixed: Light intensity on monochrome buttons

Yeah I am here, just that I don't have the money to drop on a Push 2 right now.

I am drooling over what Moss is doing with the Java graphics side since that is what I do for my day job, I saw the code and totally get what he is doing, basically he could add anything he wants to that screen now. :)
