that will depend on the instrument that the wavetable is loaded in to, surely.
Correct. The answer in terms of my content is "neither". It is up to the synth engine to decide how to gracefully switch between waveforms.

The ideal synth engine for these would have some kind of advanced way to morph between the table states instead of "switching" them quickly.

However for things like velocity switching any simple synth engine should handle it perfectly.

It is also of course possible to use the wav32 single waveform library to assemble your own wave tables for various morphing goals.

I used the existing folder organization, so "families" of waveforms are all in the same wave table. You could alternatively intentionally use diverse wavs in the same table for more extreme morphing. Like morph from saw to sine to fm to spectral or whatever.

thanks,
i speak about serum WT

Hey Andrew, did you see my question?

Thanks!

Today, I answer to "Adolph", not spelled with a silent "N".

There is no custom chuck in the header of the files. I assembled them with Sound Forge as I wanted them to be universally Readable.

The text file: "folderinfo.txt" that is in each folder is what tells Serum how to use them (ie that there are 2048 samples per waveform).

I could resave them with Serum itself (as Steve had suggested to me :dog: ) and that would put this info into the header. I didn't think any other synth would be able to read it so I didn't do it since Serum works perfectly fine via using the text file. But it seems Falcon can also read this header (but not the text file) according to an earlier post. So maybe i will resave them with this info and reupload and anyone who needs it can redownload. This would eliminate the need to append "_2048" to the file names for Falcon for example as I understand.

I'm out of the office now until the 27th for Christmas, but investigate more when I get back. Until then we can all talk about anything else that would make them load easier in any other synth engine that people are interested in.

And on that note:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Just a thought:

One way to put that information in the WAV file could be setting loop start/end points to 0 and 2048, or separate them by defining cues in the WAV file.

MERRY CHRISTMAS folks!

I bought the standard waveforms and converted them to sample chains for the Octatrack and they are really good.

i have an OT.. haven't made any chains yet w/these wavetables. time consuming process to end to end all the wav files?

Dune 2 wt would be great since it´s my first choice for a wavetable synth due to the superiour interpolations above all others i tryed.
I think Dune 2 can just handle wavetables with up to 64 waveforms and it has the .wt format.
Sadly it will not work with the current architecture wavetables :(

You can create Dune 2 wavetables using Audio-Term: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... &start=330

And you can use Galbanum waves in it, if you want.

I wrote a sound forge script to do it, but there is an excellent program that will do it manually if you haven't seen it:

No, but your Mac can run Windows.
