Clara's Vocal v1.0.6 (included with v2.0) offers high quality cinematic vocal phrases and sequences for Kontakt. The library contains pads, phrases and vocalizations (e.g. Uh, Ah, Mmm, Oooh) that can be used in many styles of music, but really lends itself to cinematic and orchestral/soundtrack music. The library is being constantly updated with new patches and content.

Features:
◾Over 2.5 GB 24-bit 48kHz compressed Kontakt ncw format samples.
◾New GUI with easy control & fully automated MIDI learn controllers.
◾OH & AH True Legato Patches.
◾OH & AH staccato.
◾FX Rack.
◾Attack and release sample time - volume control.
◾Main volume - pan controls.
◾Natural vibrato (mod wheel) + vibrato rate control.
◾Double track performance.
◾Phrases & song with 2 sync modes & Legato mode.
◾Aah, Ooh, Mmm vocal sound sustain patches.
◾Two offset samples start control on phrases.
◾Virtual Legato & Portato patches.
◾Legato speed control.
◾4 Cycling sustain round robins samples.

Notes:
◾Requires the FULL version of Kontakt 5.5 or higher – will not work with the free Kontakt player.
◾All samples are recorded @ 24-bit 48kHz with: – Neumann M147 Tube – Pre Focusrite RED Series 6 – Neve 1083 – Universal Audio Apollo.

Credits:
◾Clara Sorace / Vocalist.
◾Stefano Maccarelli / Recording engineer - sampling.
◾Fayez Saidawi / Programming - design.

ooo Didn't realise 2.0 was out.

Love the freebie version (think I got it off VST Buzz a while ago, though it isn't in the freebie section any longer?). Currently using it on song as backing vocals.

Just purchased this, but probably won't get a chance to play with it for a couple of days.

I'm curious as well..

How would this compare to Soundiron Voice of Gaia Strawberry for example? Not in terms of timbre of course, but in usability, quality and such.

I love all other library.. :-)

we are a very small team but motivated :-) . only Two, the other are very large team.

But we are working hard to improve the library.

I Think that the quality of our library is very competitive at a very low price.

see the video...and follow us on Facebook page.

Thank You evilantal.

I've used the free version in one of my productions. Very nice, will look closely at this!

Thanks for chiming in Stefano.....very good to see the developers getting directly involved. I do like the 1st version very much and found it to be quite good......(I'm mainly a guitarists) and using Clara was very simple in getting good results straight out of the box.

It's nice to have more detailed controls available, but I personally like the quick/easy to get instant gratification (lazy keyboardist  ).

I'll very likely (at some point) purchase Clara 2, but just wanted to hear what others have to say on this new version......(sorry, but I don't do Facebook). :P

The free version is already excellent, count me in!

I liked the demo.

I recently purchased Realivox Blue which uses a different, yet interesting, method.

I did not know about Clara. Seems to be priced very aggressively. I'm looking forward to checking out your other tutorials.

Initial thoughts (only spend a short time with 2).

All in all, Im happy with it but with the following provisos.

V2 only includes two instruments; one is the two staccato and legato articulations of the two vowel sound, the other is phrases).

For me, (moreso since phrases are always awkward to fit into anything), I was slightly disappointed that the 'other' instrument was basically the V1 phrases bundled into a single instrument. Since V1 is actuakky included as part of V2, it felt somewhat redundant; like padding, to be honest.
There are no 'designed' instruments (pads etc) in V2 though, so you wind up having to use the included V1 versions, which is a bit odd. The effects do mitigate the lack of them a bit, but some starting points would be useful.

It seemed a bit of an odd situation to me; V2 (unnecessarily?) duplicates the phrases of V1, but not the designed patches which are V1 only. So both are included despite the amount of extra storage that uses. Not including V1 by default, and providing a third V2 patch for designed sounds would have made more sense for me, and saved at least 1/3rd of the storage, as far as I can tell.

Also, to me, the highest 4/5 notes of the 'main' (non-phrase) instrument started to munchkinize quite badly. If that's not the result of the couple of script errors I was getting(*), I'd honestly rather the instrument range was curtailed more to the natural range of the singer, those notes sound quite poor, unless very heavily effected.

(* and I have to be say, those errors might have be my Kontakt install rather than the instrument, as Kontakt has done that before )

Oh, and to me, the volume of the amp effect is way too loud. Its a massive increase in the volume of a patch. I get that amps are a 'make it louder' device, but in software, I dont actually need that kind of volume increase, just the sonic character.

That's all mostly nitpicking though, its still a rather nice, nicely cheap, Kontakt instrument.

Hi , Thank you

for what it costs, the potential is great.

There are some new phrases ( more will be added in next upgrade )…and now the phrases have legato mode and 2 off set . All GUI have midi learn function.

There are 2 TRUE legato ( for 40$ )

There are 4 Round Robin on legato & sustains.

The phrases now can be edited more easily.

I suggest you try it better. and watch the tutorial video thanks.

We have duplicate some folder to improve compatibility, and because some user can prefer use a single patch.

About the " volume" of Amp I don't understand….sorry :-8

For 40$ i Think there is a lot of material :-) respect to v 1.0 ( beta version )..Free for many months I remember this particular.

Thank you very much!

Ah, I see. I couldnt find see documentation PDF for V2, just V1, so that's probably why Ive missed that. I didnt get much time with it, so I was basically playing with V1 versus V2. I'll check out the tutorial, cheers.

Nothing major, just that switching the amp sim on vastly increased the volume; even with the amp sim's volume control set quite low.
