Sylenth1 v3 BETA for Windows available...politically correct thread update

Since I don't have a Twitter or FB account, I sometimes feel excluded, but maybe that is not such a bad thing after allzvenx wrote:In fairness to the OP, I could have sworn a LD tweet saying what he did.

It might have to do with your controller, does it have endless knobs? The two knobs on my controller are by default assigned to the two big filter knobs in Sylenth, and they both work flawlessly in v2. No stepping, either.Astralv wrote:By the way- I had a problem with version 2- the filter knobs had no limit, and when turning hardware knob, clockwise, it would make filter knob jump left and right. It also would go large increments, not smooth. Is it improved?

It was stating that the beta version for Windows is available, if memory serves me right.zvenx wrote:In fairness to the OP, I could have sworn a LD tweet saying what he did.

That's my recollection as well.
I wasn't saying that, and I don't think the OP meant v3 for PC was released, I think the spirit was there is now a public beta for V3 for PC, very much like there was for Mac. Although now I am noting that maybe the Mac 3.0009 is now officially released?

If they get all those requests in the same mailbox as legitimate support mails, I can understand that they would like this thread to go away...
At least mods should delete the link to the request form.
If I were LD, I would send the beta first of all to those that have contributed in the past, most of all the factory sound designers.
Now that we have survived many years with v2, a month or two more shouldn't be a problem

Except that link isn't a special link in the sense I just got the same link by going Support, License, and choose I have lost my license email.
and got the same email as I did when I clicked on the link the OP posted.
"Windows VST 32/64bit v3.0 BETA"

Well, I'm not a Sylenth owner and even I saw the announcement. So as far as I'm concerned there's little difference in a public topic on kvr or a public tweet saying essentially the same thing.
Plus, since the Mac version of v3 is out, people have been asking for the Win version, it makes perfect sense to open a topic now that the beta is out imho.

Sorry, but the title is quite misleading in my view.

Yes, the OP should have simply said V3 Beta Available and none of this would be going on.fluffy_little_something wrote:Sorry, but the title is quite misleading in my view.

ok, fair enough maybe he needs to add the word Beta.
edit: wagtunes beat me to it.
Although I think if one clicked on either the link for the email or the tweet BETA was specified in both places, but yes couldn't hurt to have added Beta to the title. Maybe he can do so now.

I'm sure you didn't know this, but I'm pretty certain the original tweet didn't say beta either. It has been deleted now btw. So LD probably created the confusion themselves.wagtunes wrote:Yes, the OP should have simply said V3 Beta Available and none of this would be going on.fluffy_little_something wrote:Sorry, but the title is quite misleading in my view.
Anyway, you can't really pin this on the OP, as initial info from LD was a little sketchy.

Because very few of us are psychic and "the spirit" of each person or message may be hard to interpret, I suggest that the OP (and commentators) use normal, everyday language. For us non-native English speakers using foreign language is hard enough without need for telepathic ability. The release of the beta was no news when OP created the header "Sylenth1 v3 for Windows available...", therefore it was most missleading.zvenx wrote:I wasn't saying that, and I don't think the OP meant v3 for PC was released, I think the spirit was there is now a public beta for V3 for PC, very much like there was for Mac.
