Thanks Ruben.

@Harry_HH, fair enough. Although clicking on the link for the download request would have clarified that. But ok the OP should have put BETA in the subject. I am still grateful for the link and notification.

Wouldn't it have been easier for LD to simply send all existing customers a standard mail saying that a BETA is now available for willing testers, and a download link?

Will the new version already be compatible with W10?

Would have been a nice move. Actually I find it very annoying when companies use social media channels for update announcements. Not every customer is a Facebook/Twitter junkie these days.

It looks better at first glance now, but unless they fix the phaser bug,
Phaser bug is fixed.
fluffy_little_something wrote: Sure, I can increase it to compensate for the worse displays, but then my monitor is almost full.
You can also make the GUI smaller so you have more space left for other stuff.
fluffy_little_something wrote:I also liked the orange lit LED's better than the new ones
The new version allows changing skins on the fly and comes with the original skin included.

Also, the audio thread has been optimized so audio playback will be smoother.

There's absolutely no reason to stick with the old version, the new version will completely replace the old one.

No, we don't want too many testers. When everyone would download the beta version, we'd get flooded with questions and bug reports on each single minor problem.

Of course.

Cool :)

(Re v2, so a bit OT, but since you mentioned the audio, sometimes I hear a kind of click at the end of long notes with reverb, as if the reverb got turned off. But I can't reproduce it at will, so I am not sure if it has to do with Sylenth or my DAW. If nobody else has observed the same, forget about it :) )

Everybody hang on one DAMNED MINUTE!!!

I am the OP. I linked specifically to a tweet that has now been removed. I did NOT EVER call anything official. I said that they had officially annouced it for Windows.

Officially found here:

https://twitter.com/LD_Sylenth1

I got mine!
I mislead NOBODY...the title is NOT misleading...it is a direct quote from the Tweet that is now gone. For the record here is the wording about the "beta" version of OS X directly copied and pasted from the September 24th tweet-

"The new 64-bit AU/VST V3.0 version of Sylenth1 for Mac OSX is available!
Customers: MENU->Check for updates"

Where does that say BETA? Does anyone here need a screenshot? It does not but we all KNOW that it is the BETA.

The same is true with Windows. I knew it was the BETA, despite the fact it did not say BETA in the tweet. I even clarified this in the first two pages that it was a BETA.
thejonsolo wrote:Just as a note and for the record...

As with the OS X version, the Windows version of v3 is STILL in BETA! This means that they consider it testing as they move forward. I have no idea what is in store and what final changes will be made. And that still may be a month off.
Lennar, I got no clue who posted the tweet, and I really have no clue who deleted it, but I COPIED AND PASTED from the Tweet to get the TOPIC of this thread. So everyone here BLAME THE PERSON WHO TWEETED ON LENNAR'S TWITTER ACCOUNT. Everything was almost word for word.

And I refuse to change the title because I quoted from Lennar's Tweet. COPIED AND PASTED. Let him change the title.

Is there some place I can read about the new C/R protection? Mainly, if I re-install Windows on the same computer, do I need a new code/activation or the the old one still work? Also, how many activations? Possible to de-authorize before a system re-install?

Not everybody reads Twitter. I sure as hell don't. And if you just look at the title of this thread and the bare amount of words that you typed in the OP, why would I assume it's a beta? First thing I think is that Sylenth1 is available for Windows, period. That is what the title says, doesn't it?

What am I a mind reader?

If it was meant to say beta, don't assume anything. Tell people it's beta and not official so that idiots like me don't go running to their site looking for Sylenth1 V3 for Windows which isn't there because it doesn't exist for the general public yet.

When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me.

I'll quote myself again here.

"I COPIED AND PASTED from the Tweet to get the TOPIC of this thread. So everyone here BLAME THE PERSON WHO TWEETED ON LENNAR'S TWITTER ACCOUNT."

Since I copied and pasted it, we can let the person who Tweets for Lennar fix the title.

Again. They delete the so-called misleading Tweet. I follow their company section in this forum and they said the final release would be sometime off.

I quoted them word for word.

Just add the word Beta in the header and maybe in your post as well, and the misunderstanding is resolved... :)

Post

And also for the record, the Tweet made no mention of bug reports or a link to bug reports as the Facebook post does.

Fine. And done.

Lennard wrote:I'm not sure who started this thread here, or why, but I'd like to clear up some things:

We did NOT release Sylenth1 v3.0! We only released a beta test version, which can now be tested to locate problems and bugs. .
Thanks for throwing me under the bus. I cleared that up on page 2. Thank whoever tweets for you for making all of this possible.

Love,

Jon
