Not a hard patch to do, but I want to share it with you :)

Fun fact: This patch is a copy of a patch that I did on Synthmaster (although now I see that my filter settings on Synthmaster version is totally wrong), that is a copy of a patch from a demo from Oddity :)

Notes to play: Db Ab Bb

Well, filter at 99 and a bit of resonance (33.5) seems to nail the sound better :D

walter,
I have no idea what it will sound like, though thank you in advance.

It's the pad/horn around 1:25. The original is done in swarmatron, although live they use some more common synths.

I played with a Nin cover band last december, so it's the sound that are still fresh on my mind. Not a hard patch to recreate, but it's nice to recreate these on Zebra while I learn it.

Hah! That little 5/16 riff was waiting to be rediscovered :-).

well, i just did the horn on the chorus :hihi: When I played with a band I used phoscyon for 303 line (although didn't get a 100% satisfactory result). Another Nin patch that's only possible on some u-he synths is the Lead from the song The Hand That Feeds, that uses duophony + ring modulator (there's not many synths with this feature).

I used Reaktor when I played with a band. I tried to do this patch with Zebra, but isn't perfect, yet. The patch is on this topic.

Great thread watercruz! Cheers for sharing mate. :tu:

Definitely will give these patches a spin on Zebra... I'm an old school NIN fan... we are talking Pretty Hate Machine old (I almost wore that CD out!) :phones:

I still haven't listened PHM... But I will, soon. A lot of people asked us the old songs, and soon or later I will have to learn them and program some patches... My go-to synth now is SynthMaster2, but I'm diligently learning Zebra, so, things can change :).

Any chance you could share your synthmaster patch? I don't have Zebra...
