MNotepad - changing font (unicode support)

I am trying to write in my native language when using MNotepad, but some characters don't show (Å, Ä, Ö). I am guessing that this is due to the font used by melda not including these letters (rather than lack of unicode support, for instance).
Is there a simple way to change the font to something more standard that will support special characters?

I'm afraid it probably won't work. There actually is Unicode support, but it depends if the font used by the style contains these letters. Try a different style.
EDIT: I actually just tried with Czech letters, which are quite weird
and it seems working fine, BUT the input may NOT work! Depending on the host and OS. Try editing the text in some text editor and then copy and paste it to MNotepad.

None of the fonts will allow ÅÄÖ. The arial font (Woody, v7) will show squares and the others a blank character. Pasting from notepad does works (but maybe not workflow wise). Not a super big issue, but feels a bit "archaic". I guess I can paste my swedish lyrics from windows notepad and write other notes in english if I have to.
PS. note: The mnotepad web page states that it has M/S support et c

Do you have a Style/Font in mind? If it is OK with Vojtech I could modify one of the factory styles.
